  1. As above looking for a 20b shotkam mount for gen 3? (latest model)
  2. Having shot a high rib years ago and I'm interested in a vantage, the one I am going.to view is 32" 12ga with adjustable Monty Carlo stock. Has an had/still own and what are your thoughts, thanks in advance
  3. Easy to do, impossible to sell. I have a nice Perazzi that I had engraved, it looks very nice I'm always justified in ownership if I hit every target on the stand , only to epic fail on the next and hope no one noticed. But I sometimes bump into a guy with an £20+k Perazzi that misses more than me, like me he enjoys the ownership so has learnt to ignore the doggy looks from his doggy attempts to hit targets
  4. Yeah Florent is not a good example, it's always amusing, in his opinion he would buy every gun. He did one a few years back for Christmas, he sounded totally wasted
  5. I watch his videos, his dialogue tends to wander about and he plays devils advocate to his own statements, it's boring, but it's something to watch. Not as bad as David Florent, he needs to leave the building. The bloke off premier guns is with listening too, definitely someone I'd take advice from if I was shopping
  6. I think teenage Cancer trust always needs money and hopefully you never have to call them. They do wonderful work with.these poor children. Please give it your consideration
  7. Well I am pleased that you got a result, I am impressed that Longthorn posted their reply, that can't have been easy, but it was needed. As a said I was in their mailing list circa 2010 and downloaded their brochure as recently as 2 months ago and know Chris Potter has them in stock, I always say they will have to prise my Perazzi out of my dead fingers ...but you never know
  8. I keep reading this thread and tbh if L had admitted that maybe the blank they used was a "faulty batch " and replaced it, but a lot if time goes into making the wood and if a pair of guns with near matching wood then it would have been restocking both? Very costly but on a £50k pair then perhaps they should have swallowed it. When you are at this end of the market with people who can drop this sort of money this kind of charging for anything that puts L out is shortsighted and will influence a purchase decision. Maybe their belief that their methodology of barrel construction makes them immune and arrogant?
  9. Blimey this is shocking, I had, about 9yrs ago seriously considered longhorn and Boxell and Edmondson, but their costs and how new the companies were put me off, I bought a 13 yr old Perazzi for a fifth if the price, after 9yrs of use 2 months ago I replaced one of the original V springs from the kit provided. B&E went under and Longthorn don't seem like the company I could deal with, if a gun costing that much money should come with an understanding customer service and the honesty to level up to any issues.
  10. I'm trying a barrel weight on my gun ATM, I found that when my shotkam was fitted it slowed down the swing,(without the Kam it balances just behind the hinge pin, with the Kam just in front) so seeing if I can replicate the balance with a weight. Balance is no fast rule some prefer perfect , others barrel or stock. It's what works for you
  11. Personally I think any gadget, whether it works for everyone or even anyone for that matter, if you as a shooter perceive that it helps you then it works, I have one fitted and it helps. I do not see it when shooting but if pre-mounting for a target it helps with making sure or reassuring me my mount is good, or a very lazy hanging incomer I use notice it and it helps as I think in that situation I can track that easy to rifle the shot. I don't use it to line my gun up against a flying target. Even if the gadget just is a physiological advantage.
  12. I have a damaged right eye and plagued my shooting,I fitted an easy-hit one, coupled with a plaster over my left eye and the combination works well, I focus on the clay only but it seems to help. Good thing about buying a genuine brand is you can tape it on, if you don't like it you can return for a full refund as long as you haven't fixed it "permanently".
  13. I did have some lead I hammered flat , put tape on the barrel then the weights then taped over, but I'm concerned it might over time damage the blueing.
  14. I'm looking for something like the weight system that Browning/blaser Beretta do, or an attachable barrel weight. Anyone have anything like this?
  15. I have these but no longer shoot live, so looking to swap a full slab of 7.5 / 8 F/Wad clay cartridges. Obviously collection with valid SGC. Ashford Kent area
  16. I went through a stage of buying lot's of guns, I learnt from them what I liked and how I liked a gun to balance. I decided on Perazzi. I was going to do the whole Perazzi factory experience for my 50th (at the time it was about 3 years away so was saving) but in Chris potter I found my exact specification, a suitable stock and forearm was sourced from their spares, it's from 1999, I'm 56 now and still have it. Recently I decided on a new gun, I wanted a Perazzi hi-tech but no longer have the disposable income I used to, so and set about trying several guns I was interested in, blagging at shoots, shops etc BUT none felt as good as the Perazzi so I decided to keep it. The stock is having an adjustable comb raiser fitted to fine tune the fit and decided to have a full custom engraving done. It's a keeper. I know I will have to rebalance the gun as the raiser adds weight to the back. Perazzi are beautiful guns and all are different so try different ones and go for it.
  17. I have cheap coloured shooting glasses with a small round plaster stuck in the correct place in front of my left eye, it cures it for me.i only close my left eye when pulling the trigger when I have a very close clay to shoot
  18. Thinking about getting some adjustments to my stock it perhaps a new stock made, been doing some research and these guys look capable, anyone have any experience dealing with them?
  19. I have cens about 9 years , they had an issue, I sent them back and repaired FOC, so after sales is pretty good.
