  1. I don't mind paying, just wondering if anyone has personal experience
  2. @TIGHTCHOKE I was watching a YouTube video by him, it's plenty ££££
  3. I always seem to have issues with sighting clays, I have a weaker right eye and right handed, so I have a blanking dot over left eye when using protective eyewear, has anyone had shooting specific optical lens and who would you recommend?
  4. A friend has in, very light a sport I think it has an alloy chassis, might be steel, carbon fibre rub, he likes it, been trouble free the few times he has shot it.
  5. I recently purchased a Salvinelli Duke (all models have the same actions ) slim and hinge pin balance, but it does weigh 8lb2oz.
  6. Just tried again to look, absolutely rubbish, there's no chance of searching for whatever you're interested in browsing for. I can't be bothered to even try
  7. Looking to see if anyone has any for sale
  8. I guess it could be argued that a gun fitted to a moderately experienced shot would enable them to maintain and perfect a consistent mount, whereas a poorly fitted gun will impede a consistent mount?
  9. I didn't know they did 31" in the gold, just 30/32",I believe they have introduced a 31" length , emblazoned on the front side of the barrels, I wonder if they swapped barrels or did a run with 31"?? Age wise it should be 2020 or later I guess, maybe 2019 before the Olympics than never happened
  10. What's the gun like "in the flesh" is the gold subtle or does it look a bit OTT? What barrel length and discipline eg sporter it trap?? I like the look of them tbh . I had my Perazzi MX8 about 10yr, cleaned it religiously after every shoot, used cotton buds and an air line in the action to get the old white Perazzi grease off then re-applied with a cotton bud, I rarely took the trigger action out , I think I dabbed the smallest amount of oil on it maybe twice, my gun had the same staining as your picture, I just lived with it .
  11. For me a personal specification Perazzi with a factory visit for the stock to be fitted, probably a Hi-tech, as I have just sold my MX8 after 10yrs of ownership.
  12. I do actually keep a very close eye in progress, and I am completely aware of what's going on, however what they say and what might happen are very different, yes biowadd cups are available, but someone will no doubt produce an economy version which may not be up to the maximum spec. Cartridge manufacturers are busy, trying to develop a product that will provide a maximum profit margin. Maybe what I am is realistic, I fail to understand how manufacturers haven't made the switch already, it's been in the cards for years, but they don't want to change as it will cost money. When they have to, overnight there will be a solution. And it will no doubt cost more. I do acknowledge that I'm not an expert, and when the experts can't agree... My OP was really just a note about an email regarding an actual statement that I am pleased that I have an email stating STD steel proofed, from the BPH, as I said we all know you can use it, it's just a result to be able to show the statement should I sell the gun.
  13. Not yet but they are talking about banning plastic and I said if they combine the two....
  14. The real test will be when they ban plastic cups, I believe they protect the bore from scoring, if they put a std fibre wadd with steel you'll probably start to see damage, I watched a new Perazzi/bywell video and Perazzi now built their guns to take steel at extra full, they have added more metal for the pressure.
  15. Thanks for the replies, we all know any gun can shoot steel up to 1/2 choke, but it's an argument from a dealer to kick you in the trade-in nutz, "it's not steel proofed" and ill informed keyboard snipers influencing private individuals, but all I was saying is I have an email stating it, it's a result from that perspective.
  16. Well at least if I ever go to sell it I can prove it's steel proofed.
  17. I emailed the Birmingham proof house today about my gun circa 1999, it was teague choked in 2002 and asked what the stamps and records reveal, emailed me very quickly to say STD steel and lead, result!!!
  18. I guess going from plastic wad orientated clay guns(large bore, long forcing cones etc) to fibre wad where 18.4 bore provides a better seal will ballistically may have an effect to cartridge performance
  19. It was a good day, very wet and windy, combined with some challenging targets, went to Eriswell first, amazing clubhouse, very polite staff, ground was in good order and a low no- bird count. Then went to Cambridge gun club, very good clays, and tough to shoot,or maybe we're not that good lol. Clubhouse is tired, but just like the ones in Kent lol. Both places I would go to again
  20. Tbh I would like your opinion, it's a long way to go (for us) and I would prefer to make the most of it
