  1. I have owned this gun ffrom new and bought it 28/04/09 and don't use it,i mainly do decoying, I used it a few times on clays to get used to it ,then a couple of times in the field ,but was to concerned that it would bet knocked about to much so use my semi and want to fund a semi for my son,so it has to go,it fixed choke 1/4 and 1/2 30" barrels, probably had less than 500 carts through it,£950, it's a 12 bore
  2. nothing, nothing, nothing,in the air,I'm getting fed up,I don't have a large enough permission and there is sod all about, got a crow though
  3. M8 I have the perfect gun for you,a AYA no3 s/s d/t ,non/ejc. 28" barrels chocked at 3/8 and modified, perfect pigeon/field gun,in good condition, straight stock with slight r/h cast that I had the stock extended, but it's a bit too long for me,I plan to get it shortened abit but if you're interested.very slight nic on rib, otherwise good.P.m if you wanna know more
  4. I s'pose it's worth a go ,if pigeons are flighting nearby, and conditions are right
  5. I have 3 guns, but only use the semi now,i honestly think the Franchi is an underrated gun, mine has never jammed once and I've put 500-600 through it,possibly more and I didn't bother breaking it in,went straight out and used 24grm carts without a problem,It's light seems well balanced and after trail and error with the shims I seem to hit a lot with it.i like cleaning it,it's thereputic. And it's got benelli action and beretta barrels, as stamped on it. But my mate poorpeet with the Hatsam out shots me every time, and his hatsan has never jammed while he been out with me.
  6. All i know is i want to buy one,I'm thinking of going for the 26" barrel one and am waiting for my local gunshop to get one in,but they don't want to as they think it will be harder to sell if I decide the 28" feels better, I spent time trying a Maxus and an A400 back to back in the g/room,A400 all the way for me, Still thinking about that really nice Urika classic 20 bore they had too! was really tempted by that, but i'm probably not a consistant enough shot for a 20b
  7. i read about this subject and the person had them rotating at different speeds,he said it really confused the pigeon
  8. that's the question in a nutshell, What is the effective range of a 20b as I'd be using one in a hide probably a semi-auto f? Any other helpfull comments you have please
  9. I think the A400 kick-off is probably "softer"at the butt pad as it has an additional third dampner which is struck by the bolt after the shell is fired,pre-obsorbing some of the energy, the A400 has a different type of gas vent system, which lets more gas escape with the heavier shell,i've seen one stripped down,I think this all adds upto a completly different way of dealing with spent gas and energy from heavier loads over previous models,From those I've spoken to who have kick-off's on their guns they all bottom out
  10. Hi all,I know it's a long shot but myself and another P/W member Poorpete were planning tyo shoot onthe syndicate we have tomorrow, after a week of checking the standing wheat and rape there are none about the Charing area,if anyone is planning to shoot their permission sunday 18 th from about 4p,m and have/need of a couple of guns with a good decoy set-up we'd be available to join you.I know it's a long shot but if there's a chance could u p.m me,thanks .retromlc
  11. Hi all, looking for an additional semi and have been a toss up between the A400 and the Maxus,i have been waiting to try them with 26" barrels, tried the Maxus today, nice gun but prefered the feel of the A400 even though they only had a 30" barrel to try, then to throw a spanner in the works i picked up an Ulrica 2 game with 26" barrels in 20 guage and loved it,any thoughts between the A400 and the Ulrica 2
  12. I'd be interested in your thoughts on those two guns, what benelli do u own
  13. RetroMLC........Retro because I like old cars and bike,Art Deco etc and MLC because I'm having a Mid Life Crisis .....as usual
  14. i FANCY GETTING ONE,BUT THE 26" version, probably with kick off,Beretta tested the gun for 2 years or so before selling,I doubt that it will shake itself to pieces on the heavy loads. i've seen a couple in 28" barrel, but will wait,i'd like to compiar it to a Browning Maxus at the same time.i tried a benelli M2 in 26" the other day,i liked the feel or that too.Although it's taken me about 9 months to dial myself into the franchi,I'm not sure I wanna "start all over again" trying to get used to another gun
  15. LOL yeah it's almost invisible to the naked eye,but it makes it easy to pick up spent carts
  16. the net hangs down from the base ,so the goal net doesn't get clogged up
  17. 3 gun Cabinet,1 key fits top and bottom lock dimensions 53" 135 cms H 9"1/4 23cms W 6"1/4 16 cms D grey hammerite type coating from factory good condition no interior padding complies to BS7558-1992 slightly larger than my Brettonsound cabinet BUYER COLLECTS Selling for a friend £80
  18. I started 18 months ago. i think a camo head net, gloves and jacket are esential, they won;t see your movement,4 hide poles and I have a stealth and some army camo.i use them at the same time,12 flocked deeks on springers,I bought the live bird floater s from site sponser and I have a magnet, and a seat,I think that;s enough to carry as with gun and 100 shells weighs about 30 kg's and I can't lug much more around. When i set the pattern the way the pigeons expect to see it(an art I haven't mastered yet) they come in like mad,I think if you want to do this you need to get enough stuff as watching the pigeons fligh outta range and you can't draw them in is a waste of your time.i think a magnet is a must have, personally
  19. report them to trading standards , then follow the correct procedure for small claims court,e.g give them notice to refund in X amount of working days, then inform them to refund in X amount of days or you will file for small claims etc, send all mail recorded delivery so they have to sign that they have recieved the letters,if no response then fill in forms and send into court, they will have to pay your costs for filling claim, but they will settle long before then,I did it with a mail order motorcycle company, and a client who refused to pay for services suplied, and got the lot back. if they don't then they will get a CCJ and that will make it harder for them to trade. No need to pay a solicitor
  20. I'd agree with all the above I've gravitated towards the semi for all the above reasons,I have a 28" barrel version but would prefer a shorter barrelled one as my 28" semi is about as long as a 32" O/U,i would say they are lighter to carry but you can't break them like a O/U or S/S, which to me can be a bit of a pain when walking about.
