Has anyone tried to fix an easyhit sight to the rib of a Browning O/U?. I have recently used it with temporary tape very successfully however when I come to fix it more securely I see that the rib has a channel which is slightly narrower than the sight which makes it lean in one direction or the other.

Please advise from where I can get a flapper which can be controlled from inside the hide. Thanks

If you thought of travelling North I can strongly recommend Scott Cruickshank of SAC Shooting based in Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire.

I would watch the field,.....if some birds are leaving and others are arriving it is a good sign. Then go on to the field and lay decoys close to where you might make a hide....the birds will have left. Then watch again, if the birds start to come and go again it is worth putting up a hide and having a try, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Has anyone any suggestions as to how to rest an O/U in a hide. I am thinking about fishing rod rests but can only study pictures on-line as there is no coarse fishing (ie. no appropriate tackle shops ) in our neck of the woods. I am sure someone must have a good idea.

As a novice to pigeons comments would be appreciated. My instincts tell me that 30yds. is more or less maximum range and my experience ( limited ) is that the most likely distances are 20 to 25yds. I feel inclined to try skeet chokes, any advice ?

As a particularly experienced angler here in Orkney I could offer guided boat fishing for wild brown trout to one or two anglers. If necessary I could also provide 4 star b&b accommodation. I am looking for similar help with good quality pigeon shooting. Obviously I am prepared to travel. In Orkney there is wonderful wildfowling but no pigeons which is a pity as I am recently hooked.
