  1. Hey Les,

I'm putting in for my FAC at last and thought I'd see what bargains you have been buying for yourself (because sooner or laters you move them on, and you do seem to have an eye for a bargain - only to find that you haven't been active for a fair while.

I hope you're OK and haven't decided that it's not for you any longer, as I quite enjoyed your posts....

  2. I did just that - Ive since, learened his Brother has the job of Pest/Vermin control with his 22 LR - nepotism hey you can't argue with that I was outed to provide his family members with some land - simples Life goes on though and Im not Bitter- just a little Sad Les
  3. I'll try not be Terry and thank you Les :yp:
  4. All my gear has been sold now- rifles, safe, cammo gear the whole shooting match- no pun intended I would like to thank all of the PW memebers who offered help- it really was appreciated guys Thank you My land was ideal - just across the road from my home- BUT as a Pheasant syndicate has take up residence along with a very young game keeper ( well Pheasant feeder really) they want to keep all aspects of shooting within that syndicate, hence my demise and the promise to the landowner by the syndicate to monitor and control all /any vermin as required + they PAID for shooting rights on the whole area-I cannot compete finacially with that and the game keeper just happends to be related in some way to the landowner Land in my part of the county is hard won - lots of shooters down here and little land to withstand the competion- everyone want land and I fought hard to keep mine for 4 years- sadly now its come to an end and I do feel slightly lost if Im honest I took it upon my self to sell all of my equipment and move onto a new hobby ( although it made me very very sad to see my rifles go :o ) Shooting was a part of my life for so many years and I made many friends during this period and had some terrific outing with fellow shooter, many from this very forum, you know who you are and thanks! I have purchased a new Digital SLR camera and a couple of lenses- gonna give GREENGRASS a run for his money lol Thanks again chaps- for all your kind PM's and posts Les
  5. perhaps if you went out more it wouldnt gather any dust at all Les Ps its a top bit of kit and deadly on Roe
  6. Not too sure on that myself- but I lost the only land I had, all my firearms were attached to that 4,500 acres- land here in Somerset is hard won and the chances of find suitable land with centre fire clearance are few and very far between I did call a lot of people prior to making my decsion to give it up- not a decsicion I would wish on anyone - trust me its a sad sad feeling Les
  7. Sold to the gentleman above Les
  8. Price dropped to £40 posted for a quick pre-Christmas sale  forgot to mention this camera will also shoot around 20 mins of Video with sound Les link to manual- http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/s/finepix_s5700_s700_s5800_s800_manual_01.pdf
  9. Thank you guys- a simple case of lost land owning to a Shooting Synicate and an over zealous ( boy) Game Keeper- who wants his beaters to engange in Pest Control over the 4.500 acres as he feels with me around the Pheasants will be upset by the sound of rimfire / Centre Fire rifles ( Really? Im shocked to hear that!) No Land = No Rifles  I'll be around for a while yet Thank you for your kind words Les
  10. get in touch with Bill Oddie- you could film Autumn Watch in that patch- are there Badgers??? Les
  11. Thanks Kipper- pM returned & I'll still be around lurking Boots Now sold subject to the usual Les
