  1. Ideally it'd go as one but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for looking.
  2. Certainly wouldn't advocate using oil in a barrel unless it's being stored for a while and even then it should be patched out before firing. As mentioned there are lots of varying opinions on this but at the very least you need some solvent, bronze brush, jag, patches and (I would say) a bore guide...
  3. Hi, You don't say what it's for but I have a Nikko Sterling Mount Master 3-9x40AO on my HW100 air rifle. for the price they are good value and I haven't noticed any issues with it. Not sure I'd want to be using it for deer or anything like that though.
  4. Thanks for the note, thought it was in my profile; Redhill Surrey - but can meet within reasonable distance.
  5. I have a hatsan Luxano 12g semi auto for sale. It has both 26" and 28" barrels, Multi-choke on both and the 26" has never been used. Manual, hard case, stock spacers, spare o-rings and some other gubbins that came with it all included. Nicely figured turkish walnut. Reason for sale; I have more guns than I have time to shoot them Asking £350, preferably Ftf (Redhill, Surrey) but can do RFD if necessary. Usual SGC rules apply. 6. I can't find any loads for N140 with anything less than 69gn's in .223 - which is what I use it for. What velocity do you get out of it? Not advocating anybody try this without working up the load, just curious.
  7. Knowing the commercial and insurance worlds as I do, the definition of "business" entails the sale of a service/product for economic gain i.e. profit. The offering of a service on its own doesn't constitute a business but if you feel strongly about it then label them "Calling cards".
  8. Mine seems to like Barracuda match/Bisley Mag's and H&N FTT's although the latter are more prone to wind deviation. P.S. That would be 8.4 grains, 8.4 grams would see you in the top end of .243 bullet range and if your rifle could push them along at 800fps I'd be impressed
  9. You have a good gun, I have 1 in .177 and can't really fault it. First option to combat flyers is to try different pellets, Barracuda Match/Bisley Magnums generally work well although they are on the heavy side. H&N FTT are good and a bit lighter, assuming they do them in .22. You'll need to run a decent amount through before groups tighten up. As for tuning, the HW100 is semi regulated (i.e. not a full blown reg but it has a two stage reservoir/charge mechanism) so it is generally pretty consistent. In the .22 you should be getting quite a lot of shots out of the tank as well. You can spend more on the gun sending it to someone like Ben Taylor (google BTAS) but for the money you might not be thrilled. Besides, it'll put your gun into the same price bracket as the Daystates (airwolf, mkIV), which are fully regged...
  10. Is your dad's HW100 a quickfill or a threaded type? Either way I am quite sure they are different. If you're not sure about the price do yourself a favour and check out the AirgunBBS forum - just google it.
  11. What's wrong with a Hatstand? Mine even came with a spare barrel so I can stir paint with it as well and it cycles everything I have put through it, 32g 65mm no 6's, 70mm 28g, 70mm 24g etc. Don't know what all you snobs are on about really.
  12. Mainstream calibers will be cheapest so .223 followed by .222 .22-250 can be pricier as it is not as common - the barrel also won't last as long due to the higher velocities. .243 is common although quite a bit more expensive than the .22 c/f rounds.
