  1. Yes - already available. https://bioammo.es/ The biodegradable wad completely encapsulates the shot and I really like these carts too - quite 'sharp' in the shoulder, I'm shooting 24grm 7.5 lead at the moment and one of my regular shooting group bought 1500 Bioammo steel load form, tried them in my now departed F3 Vantage and truthfully couldn't tell the difference. Tried burying a couple of case/wads in the garden, after 6 months only the metal bases were left.
  2. Don't forget you can use Smart Plugs for this - uses the 240v ring main in your house as a data network. One plug is located adjacent to your broadband router with an ethernet cable into the router, the 2nd plug goes next to the TV with an ethernet cable into the TV. It's not new tech and has matured for quite come years. Link: TP-Link TL-PA717 KIT 1-Port Gigabit Powerline Starter Kit, Data Transfer Speed Up to 1000 Mbps, Ideal for HD/3D/4K Video Streaming and Online Gaming(for Wired Only), No Configuration Required It's literally plug and play.
  3. It seems almost any forecast further than three days out falls into the WAG category so when we read such things about terrible weather events being predicted we should remind ourselves that the statistical data models used for weather forecasting don't seem to reflect the current global climate of 2022. That said, planning a trundle down to South Worcs shooting ground tomorrow and thinking thermals might be a good idea - its quite nippy today.

  5. Like Bobba I can remember when Mortgage rates were the wrong side of 15%, back then then we'd always go for 5 year fixed rate deals and hopefully ride out the worst of the peaks. Have been mortgage free for 10 years, cars are owned outright and debt free...pondering retirement now. There are dark times ahead for those with variable-rate mortgages, especially those that moved when the stamp duty holiday was a thing and house prices rocketed. We are going to start hearing about negative-equity and home owners who have mortgages greater than the value of the house again. You only have to look at Rightmove and houses for sale in your own area - house prices being reduced are a daily basis. Affordability is an issue. I'm mindful that the financial crash of 2008 was triggered by 'toxic loans' over in the USA - Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two names that spring to mind and the seemed to trigger financial institutions over here having a close look at their own portfolios and discovering they had lent money unwisely.
  6. Every day is a school day - I never knew any of this, thanks for sharing.
  7. It's amazing how quickly the thin veneer of credibility and integrity as a previous government minister in trying times has worn through to reveal yet another money-sucking leech.
  8. Back at the start of the Covid adventure I recall cruise ships being described as "floating Petri dishes", that's one experience that's low on the list of things I want to do.
  9. I have a mint 2015 Blaser F3 Vantage, serviced by Mulliners in 2021 that included replacement barrels under warranty probably had 200 carts through it since the service. I have another gun on order so it will have to go at some point.
  10. I'm 65 and just starting down this road, lots of IT jobs over the last 35 or so years and bits of pension all over the place. Have just appointed a pension advisory firm to take a look at it and give a projection into the future. A bit of me would like to draw a line under it having worked for nigh-on 50 years.
  11. I'm nudging 35 years in IT and I just don't get Twitter at all - I've drawn the conclusion that people don't grasp that writing stuff in social media tool that can be read by millions of people will likely get you into serious trouble if you deviate from the centreline of non-opinionated provable fact.
  12. Assume to be a Scam. Also be aware of this published by our Security and Governance team yesterday: " There are increasing reports of malware masquerading as software updates to trick people into installing these purported “updates.” SocGholish is one such malware and this particular framework uses several social engineering themes that impersonate browser updates like Chrome and Firefox, or other applications such as Microsoft Teams. Please carefully read the email and verify the sender’s exact email address. Alert: Be on the lookout for emails requesting you to update your applications via an external website. This is called a Drive-by Attack and triggers a malicious malware download. SocGholish malware is on the rise. The term “Soc” in the “SocGholish” framework refers to the attack’s use of social engineering toolkits masquerading as a software update. Thus far, this particular framework using several social engineering themes that impersonate browser updates like Chrome and Firefox, or other applications such as Microsoft Teams."
  13. I had an Email from EON (Electricity only from them) yesterday to say my DD payment was falling from £91/month to £24/month until next March (I'm on a capped tariff until next April anyway) - due to the £400 subsidy. So this is the way it works in the real world - rather than as those Scammers would like you to believe.
  14. Some guidance here: In Brief - Agricultural vehicles and the law
  15. Well said Mungler. I'm up for giving Truss and team a chance, I haven't voted for the Tories in the last two elections for reasons that will annoy some of the keyboard warriors here - a lot. The UK is up a creek without a proverbial paddle on so many fronts now that it needed something wild and radical - hammering the upper rate tax payers is easy. I get paid just shy of £8k a month before tax and see the Inland revenue waltz off with £2633.50 of it - it's not exactly an incentive to work harder so I'll see what the current leadership can do.
  16. I read the 'bankers' part of the budget as an incentive to stay in the UK as the financial services industry had been moving to countries that have remained in the EU.
  17. Both areas have social and economic challenges, sooner or later it boils over for some reason or another.
  18. Yikes - £400! What was it before the new number arrived?
  19. Watched it - enjoyed. Mr May's adventure was properly scary, very lucky to walk away from that - not withstanding the sterling effort to collect a Darwin Award, surely has to be in the runner-up class.
  20. I've been on Omeprazole since working the age of 28 and I'm 65 now - no side effects and no issues. My stomach produces excessive quantities of acid - the drug blocks this process. Acid reflux (getting bile in the back of my throat which is ghastly) is caused by the type of foods I eat and when I do it relative to gong to bed. Absolute No Nos: Cucumber (its water and cellulose) the body can't digest the cellulose so produces acid to break it down - no nutritional value. Avoid. Cheese/Pizza/Curry/anything oily as an evening meal - I'm OK if its before 7pm after that I'll get reflux. Desserts with a lot of cream eaten late in the evening are also an issue (hopelessly sweet tooth).
  21. +1 Working for an international company I'm aware that we Brits have a sense of belonging to the country in a way few other nationalities have and when one travels around the world for work, dropping out of the clouds to land at say, LHR, it always makes me smile because the United Kingdom is a pretty decent place to live. Sure, there issues like politicians exercising economies of the truth and failing to deliver on the issues that really matter but there again most countries are like that or a whole lot worse. We are downright fortunate to live here.
  22. I have Kick-eeze pad fitted on my HPX Perazzi MX12 by Tim Greenwood and he added a smooth leather piece to the back of the pad which facilitates a smooth mount. As part of the process of having the stock re-fitted Tim altered the pitch of the stock which is hard to describe - its the angle of the stock butt beneath the Kick-eeze pad so that it fits squarely in one's shoulder. Seeing an exquisite piece of walnut getting sliced by a band-saw is slightly eye watering - end result was worth it.
  23. Common sense is, unfortunately, not all that common. I'm a mod on a car forum and moving posts to the correct section is a regular task - I suspect it might be due to increasing numbers of people, especially youngsters using mobile phones as their web surfing device.
  24. I usually use MS PowerPoint for drawing tasks.
