  1. Damn i dont think it will be any good. Dont think it would take scoped guns due to the depth :( LG
  2. Ehhh??? I was under the impression you can't have a Firearm AND a shotgun in the same cabinet??? May be wrong of course and am sure if i am i will be corrected. May make a bid myself i could do with a little more space myself. :( Lord Geordie
  3. A lot of us have to PAY for the privalige to shoot on land every day. I personally pay around £150 a year for 100 acres near the scottish border and am just happy to have the land to use. Perhaps we can put this Subject to bed by asking ANY person who has used the land in question. 1 were you asked to make a donation at ANY time? 2 DID you make a donation? 3 if so how much? 4 in your view was it worth it? Some people have NO choice but to pay. Even I was a farm hand at one time and have offered my services in return for shooting permission to NO avail hence having to pay £150 a year. I am still looking for more land to use but unfortunatley i live in Newcastle so am a bit far from the Land in question or i may have went down to see the guy. I own land in Scotland myself but it is not really big enough to warrant using it to shoot on. Eventually i would like to find something closer to Newcastle than the borders but for now am Happy to shoot the 100 acres i have. And if this Guy was closer to me i would also go for a look about. Lord Geordie
  4. Eley do a heavy pellet said to be quite good in FAC versions but i forget the name. Damn this old age!!!! My Friend used to have a FN19 a few year back and SWORE by H&N Field target trophy. I still use em today in my Stealth and they pack one hell of a wallop and are very good for accuracy. You may want to give em a go Lord Geordie
  5. guess when i pay a visit to the FLO i can ask him just to make sure all is well to do so. Anyone have an idea of what it costs for the certificate?? cheers lord geordie
  6. Got my first reply today! Unfortunatley it was a Not at this moment but at least it is a reply. It shows letters DO work. Lord Geordie
  7. I have been told if i put MY stealth on my FAC and it has NO serial number on the gun its self then it is a way to get round the non reversal rule. Tell em you sold the FAC rated gun and bring the power down on the Stealth. I dont want to break the law so i will leave my Serial on mine. For the sake of losing a hundred quid i would rather stay this side of the Law. What i am asking is HOW can you get a rifle with NO SERIAL onto an FAC?? I would have thought this would not be poss due the the fact the gun is UNTRACEABLE. Any elaboration on this would be appreciated. Lord Geordie
  8. Thanks for all the replies Guys. I was going to Join the BASC anyway i am already a member of the BASA but think it would be better buisness if i go to the BASC as i am after going FAC too if i meet the criteria. Guess all i need now is a trip to Market street police station Lord Geordie
  9. Not sure about the Barnes but from Sunderland yes. Also have a load of letters about to Northumberland farms etc and hoping to find at least one or two more. I had the Chance to go out this morning to a place near Hepscott where my brother in law works and has a prob with Rabbits woodies n crows etc but had to decline as i live on my todd with me Son. Maybe next time LOL. Lord Geordie
  10. Maybe i should get a Game Licence for them too then Dave eh? Next step FAC'svil i need to go to contact the Liason officer at Market Street and see what i need. And change my insurance from BASA to the BASC too i think. Makes a lot of sense i think. Lord Geordie
  11. Hi!! I have a question for the Legal advisers if there are any about. I have a Motorbike and would love to leave the Cage at home and take the Bike out on a days shooting. BUT Where does the Law stand with the carrying of a gun by a motorcyclist? I know the Law changed reguarding carrying a gun (even cased) in a public area unless it is to a gun shop or to a place of legal use IE gun club or crossing land to gain access to your shoot. Where does it stand on carrying a Rifle on a Motorcycle?? Question is Can I or Can't I Cheers Lord Geordie
  12. Well kids are off School next week so i think i will get my Folks to have my son so i can Swan off up to the New shoot and bag myself a few Scottish bunnies. May even see if i can hunt a few Haggis too Am really looking forward to getting up there to get a good look about. Just hope the weather is gonna behave. You know what the Scottish weather can be like. Lord Geordie
  13. Well for 20 mins work and a quarter of an ink cartridge i have just printed off a load of Letters i will be sending to Farmers in the Northumberland Area reguarding Shooting of Pest species. Of course i aint expecting a HUGE response but i am hoping for at leas 1 or 2 yes replies. And if not i will send more. I am alreadt preparing another load for Durham and for the Lake district areas. Got to try as Shy Bairns get NO cake. Lord Geordie
  14. Managed to secure 100 acres over rough and am hoping to get up there in the next week or so to have a gander about. Beauty is it's already FAC rated too so i may look into getting an FAC on one of my rifles. I have all the security in place (cabinet-alarm-cameras-digital locks etc etc) So fingers crossed i may just land my FAC too Lord Geordie
  15. Well i have went one better Not only did i write to my Local MP!! I have ALSO writen to the Prime minister HIMSELF. Now i KNOW i have done just about all i can short of a MEETING with Mr Blair. If someone could swing a meeting with him I would Definatley take the time to make it there and talk face to face. Of course to more of YOU that write to him the better it will be for us all. Show the Government JUST HOW BIG the Airgun community is and how loud it can be when stirred up. Remeber NO profanity as it makes u look bad as well as ALL OF US. Keep it clean and to the point and we may just get a good battle. WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS???? Sit quiet and lose your sport??? OR STAND TALL SPEAK YOUR PIECE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE Your letters could make all the difference in the world of Airgun sports. Just 1 letter could swing it in favour of US against the Ban. Come on Guys take 15 mins to write a letter to the Prime minister. If you don't you may as well just hand your guns over now. We NEED every airgun owner to sit and write just 1 letter to the Prime minister with the letter heading (reguarding Possible Airgun Ban!) and let him know you are one of the MAJORITY of safe and considerate airgun owners and you oppose they BAN. Thats all it takes. Please keep it CIVIL and NO PROFANTY. It's up to you guys. Make a difference and SAVE our sport. Lord Geordie
  16. Well it goes to show the Labour resolve as My local Labour MP never even bothered to reply to my letter. His panflet that came through the door said he sticks up for EVERY constituent but when i approached him about the Airgun debate i was Blanked. Obviously he has made his mind up and can't be bothered to waste his breath on the reply. Another TYPICAL Labour Lie. Why state catagorically he will stick up for EVERY constituent when he will infact PICKs what he wants to help out with and what he wants to simply sweep under the Carpet. Enough is enough i think i am going to attend his NEXT session and ask him in PERSON then he won't have the excuse to blank me in public. Lord Geordie
  17. My Guns have been in a Cabinet since i owned them. I have a 9 year old son and live on my own with him and he is NEVER allowed to touch ANY of my guns. I don't even allow him in the Workshop where the Cabinet is due to the Nature of the Machinery also. I think it is VERY irresponsible to leave a gun in ANY place a child can gain relatively easy access to it. While i feel Heart felt Sympathy for the Family of this Child i would also like to stress it is time the OWNERS of these easily accesible guns were held to account. Even a chain and a Padlock locking the Gun in a wardrobe can make a difference or EVEN BETTER spend less than £20 and get a trigger lock from the BASA or a reputable Gun Dealer to MAKE the gun safe. But even then i would stress the Gun be locked away and out of reach of Children. A Good Gun Cabinet can be purchased from around £80 and it cost me about £15 for the fixings to fit it to Police Approval. Weigh that cost!!! £95 or the Life of a Child. I know what i would choose and HAVE chosen. Perhaps if the Government were to spend a bit of the Money thay have Squalered on a few Clubs where people can go to Shoot. Then at the same time they can be taught the safe ways to use the guns and the legislation reguarding Owning and securing the Airguns. When i was a Child (about 14) we had a Youth Club on our SCHOOL grounds and that had a 15 yard firing range and Air rifles and we were taught how to handle shoot clean and make safe etc the Rifles. And in the area i live there were NO kids totting about with Airguns etc and blasting the **** out of everything that moved. I think half the reason there is a hike in reported Crimes reguarding Airguns has TWO causes. Cause one is the fact a LOT of Children nowerdays are NOT taught the difference between right and wrong and society as a whole accepts their misbehaviour as normal kid like actions. (wake up) Its NOT normal. We were brought up to respect other peoples propperty and not get into trouble but todays Kids seem to get FAR TOO MUCH leeway when it comes to Rights. I am Sorry But in mY personal view they should EARN their rights. And the Second Cause i beleive is the Major Factor. When i purchased my first airgun 20 years ago it cost WAY over £150 thats was l LOT of money. Today you can buy Cheap chinese Air rifles for as little as £19.99 Thats Pocket Money for most of todays Kids. And Pistols from £15 If the prices were higher you would probably find the increase would NOT have been as it is Today. It's the same as Field Bikes and Cars. They are getting Missused as Kids are able to afford to Buy their OWN. Once they buy it they don't care if they have NO valid insurance they just want to get behind the wheel and tear about. There is plenty Legislation there to deal with the Problems of Society today INC missuse of Airguns but this is VERY rarely chased to the fullest Extent. If it were i can assure you they would SERIOUSLY think about their actions for fear of serving time. If current legislation was backed to the fullest extent of the law then they would NOT need to Ban the Airgun. The trouble is the police force don't want to spend their time Upholding and chasing cases like this so they would sooner seek a BAN. Make your Own minds up but WRITE to you MP and ask them if they will help safeguard your sport. If not WHY should you vote for them??? Lord Geordie
  18. Don't consider!!! Just do it!! It's like waiting for that perfect moment only to fall asleep and let it pass you by. It Doesn't matter if your local MP or who ever is running for WHAT party. Send em a letter or an E-Mail or FAX even to Labour to Conservative and to Lib Dems (even though they will never gain power.) Let them know your Views on the current matter at hand. Ask them if you could rely on THEIR Support in the cause and IF NOT then WHY NOT. If they won't help you in YOUR cause why help them in THEIRS to gain seats come the election. Make it clear IF they are willing to help you may vote for that party. We all have little Voices BUT when we come together we have a HUGE voice. Make it heard make a difference. Only with ALL Airgun owners and users coming together can we save the Sport and keep it preserved as it is presently. If you can't be bothered to fight and write a letter to each of the parties (all of 15 mins work) then you might as well hand your gun over NOW because if we don't come together and make our selves heard then the sport as we know it has already succumb to Labours trechorous regime. Zeb
  19. Due to the recent bombshell Laboutr have once again dropped on the LAP of the Law abiding Citizen i have took it upon myself to write a letter to MY local MP asking questions and wanting answers. I have kept it polite at all times as swearing or other profanity will only lose you the battle. If every Airgun owner writes a letter to their Local MP then it should shake the walls or at least ruffle the feathers of the Labour government. We are a HUGE group of people and WE also have a HUGE voice. Lets use it to our advantage people. Make yourself heard speak out. No one can hear you if you don't speak. It's time to let your views be known BUT REMEMBER keep it calm and collected. No bad language or profanity or YOU will lose the fight NOT THEM. Ask your local MP if YOU can expect them to fight in your corner when it comes to your hunting and Air rifles. If he or she wont then ask them why YOU should vote for them??? The more people who lobby the government the more they will sit up and listen. I have done MY bit now it is time for my Bretherin to have their say. Go forth and voice your concerns. Lord Geordie
  20. I already Voted Tory by postal vote. I do NOT want another Blair term he has damaged this great country enough. He has done NOTHING but pursue his own agenda trampling over ALL the UK residents views to get there. So many lies so much deceipt and some idiots are STILL voting for this sicko. I swear to god the Guy is a Bolshevic. Vote ANY party other than the Labour one. Lord Geordie

  24. Have you nothing else to sell Dibbz???? You will only regret selling up i know i did years ago. I spent months in heign sight saying i should never have sold my gun.
