  1. I am an out of hours GP. Ducks bellow the parapet. I do not get pain £150 an hour, I get about one third of that. I deal with up to 50 patients in an 8 hour shift and typically admit less than 3 of that 50. My local A&E is busy, but not because of me, or my fellow out of hours GP's. Most recently 111, which was imposed on us by our political masters, can not find its back side with both hands. The patients are frustrated and, because the out of hours numbers in some areas have been shut down, have no option but to attend A&E. The department of health are scrabbling about looking for a fall guy. After all they can not have spent millions of pounds setting up a system that is unworkable ( NHS Direct, The NHS Spine, GP new contracts, Public private finance etc etc.) They can not force the GP's to take it back either as they are already in breach of the EWTD simply providing in hours care. Never mind adding in the remaining 124 hours in the week that are classed as out of hours. If you can conger up three extra GP's for every one already working with out going outside the UK then great. but it strikes me that it is another political pipe dream.
  2. As a city fan I am also sad to see him go, on the other hand I have watched some truly awful football at the Etihad this season as well as some flashes of brilliance. I watched Nasri fail to make a pass forward for the whole first half of the season for example. Bobby Manc has been a great manager for City, but the team have not performed consistently well this season. I also think City has a team as good as Real or Barca, and definitely better than United, but unlike these sides they have been quite incapable of grinding out a win in what should have been the easier games, whilst beating Chelsea and United in the harder games. The City motto is Pride in Battle, something that has been lacking this season. Lets see what the future has in store. After all I doubt it will be another 30 odd years before we see silver wear again.
  3. A lot of it is just a frame of mind isnt it Yes Oli it is. You hope for a better life for yourself and an even better life for your kids. They on the other hand would see you as a fool for wanting that.
  4. I think the residual stink would make you want to move house.
  5. I dont think any one is accusing any one else here of extreemism, but it is easy to see how the use of stigma, how ever well intentioned could be missused by a less caring society. OH dear.... are my liberal credentials showing.......
  6. What if we were to make the shift towards earned human rights. If you are convicted of infringing some one elses human rights, yours are suspended, or reduced for a period of time. Might allow the extradition of a troublesome preacher or two I have always regarded the political spectrum as a circle and felt that the reasons the NAZI's and the Soviets hated each other so much was because they had so much in common.
  7. As Keg pointed out it was our German friends frm the 1930's that came up with that first. So perhaps not so communist.
  8. I can not beleive that the auto censor would let me have cahonas but not ****
  9. You would have to have some form of legal framework to hang it on. and I am not sure stopping the money of a potential crim wouldnt just increase the levels of crime, but ................. Na..... None of our elected reprasentatives have the cahonas for that
  10. Brill I like this idea
  11. Might not be the case if the other scrotes all thought they were a bit of a **** for having an asbo. Stigma only really works if its your peers who are stigmatising you.
  12. Ah Stigmata. Like taking a leak up a dark ally on the way home from the pub you mean ?
  13. Thats fine as long as you do not become a victim of it. We all have reasons to fear this. even if it was just taking a leak up a dark ally on the way home from the pub.
  14. Legally , not much I would think.
  15. It is sad that the old style socialists are so blinkered by their hatred that they can not recognise the greatest British politician of the last 50 years and mourn her passing. What happened to the post war utopian ideals when they crashed into the economic reality of the 1970’s made the social and economic events of the 80’s and 90’s inevitable. With hindsight we should be grateful that we had a leader who had the back bone to bring us through the upheavals of that decade. Lets face it socialism was killed by the economic realities and public greed of the 80’s. whether that was the Harry Enfield character Loads of Money or the greed for power displayed by the union leaders of that time. She is and I suspect will remain the greatest politician of my life time.
  16. ' I rang 'cos my bp was up and any swelling in my genitals would have been an unexpected bonus!!!! Lol ' I supose its a lot cheeper than the more usual mucky phone lines........

  18. I am a bit concerned as to why NHS direct are so concerned about your genitals swelling.......... Did I miss that lecture when I was at medical school.

    RIP old girl

Sorry mate. At least she had a few good years at the end.
  20. Ive just noticed that there are two web sites for the same group www.cheshireshootingsyndicate.co.uk/ and www.cheshireshoot.org.uk/ Its the second one that is out of date, though the first one appears to apply to the 2012 season, but its better than before.
  21. Does anyone know anything about this syndicate. They appear to have quite a good website, but it appears to be out of date. The membership aplication section appears to relate to 2010 to 2011 season. However I think that there has been a change in the content in the last few months.
  22. This is Dora Ratjen. She competed for Germany in the 1936 games in the woman’s high jump and later in the European championships in 1938 where she set a new world record. She was arrested on the way home from the games on suspicion of being a man, something she later admitted to. The real surprise , given when this happened is that she / he survived the war dying in 2008. I think the feet and the five o'clock shadow are a bit of a give away.
