  1. I have decided to buy the leica rangemaster. Tested various types today at the gamefair - the Bushnell look ok, but I prefer the Leica. I have noticed on here a number of people recommending the 1200. Why? Surely the 900 is more than adequate for all shooting applications - as I underdstand it, the only difference is the additional 300 yards range which I don't need. Is there any other diference?
  2. Many thanks lads - I'll let you know how I get on with them.
  3. I have been offered an ex demo pair of these Bins, which are apparently as new, for £650. Does anyone have any experience of the Zeiss Victory 8x56- particularly in low light conditions. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go ahead and buy them - unless anyone knows where I can get something better for stalking for the same price.
  4. I've been advised to soak in Petrol, Diesel or Coca Cola by three different people. Which should I go for ?
  5. Anyone know when the next Game Fair in the South is? I Fancy picking up a few bargains.
  6. Your job sounds great Rimfire - what do you do?
  7. I have seen a double barrel .410 silenced - far too barrel heavy. Better sticking to the .410 single barrel hushie. My local gun dealers do not stock subsonics, so I use 2.5 inch cartridges, which funnily enough I find quieter than 2 inch. It is a great gun, and ideal for squirrels, close bunnies and work round buildings etc. A word of caution though - they are by no means silent. I reckon mine is the same noise as a .22LR with moderator. When I use it in my two acre field, it still spooks my neighbour's horses. Also great for shooting out of the 4x4 side window.
  8. Its a sad indictment for Northern Hemisphere rugby that the best we've got are the Welsh!! Joke! Don't worry lads from the Valeeeez, I'm only jesting. Brilliant performance by you guys - a well deserved GrandSlam. Wonder how many of the Welsh will make it onto the Lions tour?

    ashes tour

Got tickets for both Lords and the Oval - wouldn't miss it for anything. I'm a fully paid up member of the Barmy Army - even went to Barbados with the boys last year. Best way to spend five days I know!
  10. You're right - Its driving me mad. Hints please - am stuck in second room
  11. Best I've found is £10 for 50 V max 17 grain. Anyone know anyone cheaper in Hampshire area?
  12. From those video clips it looks more like Stag wrestling than hunting to me.
  13. Sorry to sound boring, and I don't mean to shake things up bearing in mind I've only been a member of this site for a matter of days, but if you ask me the best shots are sometimes the ones that you don't take. In my experience, the best shooters are the ones that refuse very difficult or long range shots which always bring with them an increased risk.
