  1. I couldn't give a rats **** if it is British Petrolium. American Petrollium, or Canadian Petrollium the fact is the company decided to not install a blow out protector as the cost was too high. To me this makes that company not only responsible but accountable. NTTF
  2. Send it through as air mail please otherwise it will be 3 months getting here. NTTF

  5. Unable to find any Oxford Forrest Pigs anywhere in Canada, I purchased Old English Blacks this time around. If I like them I may even keep the little sow, SUZY, as a breeder. I am interested in finding out about bringing in a couple of the Oxfords at around 8 weeks of age though. Does anybody know which carrier it would be that they would fly with? SUZY is the second from the left.

  8. N. Korea fired deadly torpedo at ship: probe Last Updated: Thursday, May 20, 2010 | 12:24 AM ET The Associated Press Yoon Duk-yong, co-head of the team investigating the sinking of the South Korean warship Cheonan in March, talks next to torpedo parts salvaged from the Yellow Sea. (Jung Yeon-je/Associated Press) Evidence overwhelmingly proves North Korea fired a torpedo that sank a South Korean warship in March, killing 46 sailors, investigators said Thursday. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak vowed "stern action" for the provocation and called an emergency security meeting for Friday, the presidential Blue House said. "[We] will take resolute countermeasures against North Korea and make it admit its wrongdoings through strong international co-operation," Lee told Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in a phone conversation, the presidential office said. The White House called the sinking an act of aggression that constitutes a challenge to international peace and security. Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said the evidence "points conclusively to a North Korean torpedo having been responsible" and there is "no other plausible explanation." "Canada strongly condemns this violent act of aggression by the North Korean regime. We are fully supportive of South Korea, our democratic ally and friend," he said in a statement. But North Korea warned that it will wage "all-out war" if punished for the sinking of the warship. North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency quoted a spokesman from the National Defence Commission as rejecting the findings as a "fabrication." Sinking killed 46 The long-awaited investigation results, which come from a multinational team, said a torpedo caused a massive underwater explosion that tore the Cheonan apart on March 26. Navy soldiers stand guard near the wreckage of the naval vessel Cheonan, which was sunk on March 26 near the maritime border with North Korea. (Lee Jae-Won/Reuters) Forty-six sailors died in the frigid Yellow Sea waters near the Koreas' maritime border while 58 were rescued. It was South Korea's worst military disaster since the end of the three-year Korean War in 1953. Fragments recovered from the area indicate the torpedo came from communist North Korea, investigators said. Pieces recovered at the sinking site "perfectly match" the schematics of the torpedo included in introductory brochures provided to foreign countries by North Korea for export purposes, chief investigator Yoon Duk-young said. A serial number on a torpedo fragment also was consistent with markings from a North Korean torpedo that South Korea obtained years earlier, Yoon said. "The evidence points overwhelmingly to the conclusion that the torpedo was fired by a North Korean submarine," he said in a nationally televised news conference. "There is no other plausible explanation." Investigators also confirmed that several small North Korean submarines and a mother ship supporting them left a North Korean naval base on the western coast two to three days before the attack and returned to port two to three days after, he said. All submarines from neighbouring countries were either in or near their respective home bases at the time of the incident, Yoon said. The incident has raised tensions on the divided Korean peninsula, where the Korean War ended in a truce, rather than a peace treaty. The investigation team included experts from South Korea, the U.S., Australia, Britain and Sweden. © The Canadian Press, 2010
  9. Sammy, We were refering to Wesmans statement......"Icouls help out on my days off if you need it. Sounds like fun"..... Take a drive around the farms in the area as I bet within 4 or 5 you would find an old ground drive spreader. Most have 4 wheels, some 2 and no PTO. You may have to replace the flour boards, usually a sheet of 4x8 5/8 plywood will take care of this, but are very handy to have as you can hook it behind the pick up or quad. Most farmers just want rid of the things as they all run pto machines now. NTTF
  10. You dont live in a town by any chance do you? Sammy_D, Spray out the muck spreader and run a line out across the field. Just put the beaters on low and the feed on hi. NTTF
  11. Good Luck tonight Hun. We are very proud of you here. The Littlest little sends a big hug and kiss. xoxo Dan
  12. I really like the Oxford forest pigs. I have had large whites in the past and a couple of Duroc crosses but would really like to find some of the forest pigs for this year. I wonder what it would cost to have 4 littles shipped over? NTTF
  13. personally I would call him to me, praising him on his way and then swap him for one of his toys, such as a rawhide bone or nyla bone. This way he will always bring things to you instead of going off to hide with them. NTTF
  14. Pavman, I can respect the fact that you dont like it. But there is everybit as much chance of a hit, miss, or badly placed shot when you squeeze the trigger on your rifle as there is with a bow. You will find that most of the people that use a bow whether it is for animals or fish spend hours practicing so that they do not miss. A fish brought on in on line is dispatched the same as a fish brought in on an arrow, and I can assure you that I respect all quarry. NTTF
  15. For those of you that think it is a stupid sport that requires no skill, tell me when was the last time you had to aim taking in a reflection rate of 20 %, or for that matter hit a moving target with an arrow? You will slander a sport here yet go out and shoot 150 rabbits in 2 hours there, something that many would like to shooting fish in a barrel. Yes I happen to bow fish here in Canada when it is in season. I shoot carp and pike. The pike are brought home cleaned and eaten, some of the carp from the cleaner waters are brought home and smoked, (very tasty), while the ones from some of the dirtier, meaning polluted, water are buried. Carp are considered a pest here destroying spawning beds for trout, perch, and walleye, aswell as stripping the vegitation from the lakes and rivers. It also happens to be an enjoyable day out supplying not only sport but some very good eating. NTTF
  16. The adze, what a wonderful tool and what away to take the round to the square. NTTF
  17. running man, so the hounds that have been bred for the last 150 years or so to tree quarry so that it can be shot should be banned? I am well aware that a .22 cal can travel 2 miles, but the question is it safe to take a shot elevated into a tree in a safe situation. With the correct amunnition matched to the quarry you tree and using the trunk as a solid back stop then in my opinion it is a safe shot. You may disagree and that is you opinion, which is fine. The difference of opinion may well come about as we have different styles of hunting between the two countries. NTTF
  18. Still a spoke shave and draw knife as I have and use both. NTTF
  19. I have a couple of those kicking around here in the drawer. Funny though as mine are of a baked clay which was quite common at one time apparently. Would be interesting to know what size your find is as mine are 32 cal. NTTF
  20. and larger game? I dont think the 410 is going to do much to the bear or the cougar. What about the 40 pound coon that is sitting 40 yards up and is being taken for fur? NTTF
  21. Do you think that it may upset him to know that Mrs. Sweepy was firing a .50 cal last weekend.
  22. Your welcome. And yes bears are shot for food. They taste very similar to pork, and are very tender.
  23. Actually ....Yes My 6.5 x 55 is my favourite gun for bears. Oh and I use it on moose aswell. NTTF
  24. How about 10 pounds and I will pay the postage over the pond? NTTF
