  1. Likely this has been covered before but can't find anything on it. Has anyone noticed any difference in the patterns or characteristics of the Optima flush fitting chokes against the Optima extended chokes? Or is all just what looks the best.
  2. WOW, Awe well there goes another good idea.
  3. Afternoon all, I've often wondered why peeps blow down the barrels of their O/U's at clay grounds. Cause it's much easier than blowing up them, think about it.
  4. This kit Looks like the bees knees, but as already mentioned a few times, is the cost.
  5. Sounds good, might be able to make that as well. Clutey.....
  6. It is good to hear your comments recommendations for Doveridge. I did phone Doveridge today and the Gun Cupboard as well. Gordon it seems Gun Cupboard don't do them any more or at least don't fit them any more. So after speaking to the guy at Doveridge (not sure who I was talking to)and what I've heard about them it's looking like it's Doveridge who'll get the business. Thanks again guys for all your help and suggestions. Clutey.....
  7. Dave, I was trying to send you a PM to ask you a few questions to find out what you thought of the workmanship, turn around time and cost of it all but the system doesn't seem to be running at the moment. I'll try again later. Clutey.....
  8. Thanks Nickbeardo, I have been on with Nicky it's not what I'm looking but thanks again for the info. Clutey.....
  9. Hi fuzrat, I read about this one some time ago and forgot about it, thanks for reminding me. I'll read up on it again and see what it offers. Cheers Fuzrat.....
  10. Thanks Ed/Hcarlos and Gordon. I've sent emails to both to see if they can help, and I'll do that Gordon thanks. Clutey.....
  11. Wow, you guys have given me a lot to think about. Hamster I would love the PFS it is the way to go, but the cost for a new one at present is just too much. I have checked the Gun Cupboard Gordon and can't find any gracoils on there I'll keep checking. Doveridge seems reasonable Berettasv10 at £250 considering I got a quote from a guy in the Midlands for £300. Yes PMX thanks for that, it seems now the ISIS do provide an adjustable pad but I don't believe the lop is adjustable. It doesn't look like there's too many used ones for sale at the moment Paladin you were lucky you were able to pick one up. I shoot nearly every week with a mate who has a gracoil fitted to his Browning and he too loves it. I did get an adjustable comb fitted a couple years back and it's a great asset, but I do tend to tilt the gun slightly so to get the gun to fit properly and reduce the recoil the Gracoil with the LOP and the angle adjustments seems to be what I'll have to settle for as it's within my price range. Unless as I mentioned earlier there happens to be a second hand PFS out there at the right price. Guys your suggestions have been excellent and thanks for taking the time to respond, should I go for the Gracoil or save the pennies for a PFS Hmm and double Hmm. Regards Clutey.....
  12. If the land is your back garden in the middle of a housing estate then the local police might take exception lol. But seriously there are clay shoots that take place on a Sunday here in N Ireland, so if the neighbours don't complain about the noise and it is safe to do so I can't see a problem.
  13. You're right matone, when everyone knows the only option is the 682 Gold E.
  14. Hi Over_kill. I have checked out the kick eez and do know some guys who use them. One of them has reverted back to whatever he was using before, he just did not like it, but the 2 others are delighted with them. Really I'm after an adjustable system but I do appreciate your response. Regards Clutey.
  15. Thanks for the replies. Gordon I believe your're right, to be used with a hard pad. I have tried a few shots from a browning with a gracoil and a hard pad fitted, excellent hardly felt any recoil what so ever. I have looked at the ISIS recoil system Ed, it does seem to do a great job and has the added benefits of being lighter than the Gracoil, but there isn't the ability to make any adjustments. With the Gracoil the LOP can be adjusted and the butt plate can be set at different angles or even raised and lowered and they cost around the same, so out if the 2 I would choose the Gracoil simply for the adjustments that are available. Yes Welshwarrior I've seem the PFS on Ebay, a lot of money for the complete package £1185 again this seems to be the average price for a new one, I would take one if I could get it for around 300 to £400. So if any of you guys out there have a L/H PFS you're looking rid of for around my available funds or a used Gracoil not doing anything only gathering dust please let me know. Thanks again guys for the replies. Clutey.....
