  1. Well I didn’t take any advise haha I hope I’ve done the right thing ! Ive always had Agile welly’s for year and could walk in them all day in winter, I didn’t realise Agile did a walking boot ! I’ve seen a pair online with great reviews so I’ve took the plunge and bought some Altavio Mids, they were only £98 and I can return them if I’m not happy with them, cheers Chaps
  2. Cheers mate I’ll keep that in mind, I’ll have a look at oex boots as well cheers
  3. Cheers for the reply’s 👍 I’ll go to Go Outdoors and try a few on, I fancy some of the scarpas, a mate of mine has had meindls and swears by them ? I’ll try some of them and all
  4. I know it’s been done to death but I can’t find any recent ones, im after a pair of walking boots £150-£200. Must be easy to maintain because I’m rubbish at looking after things. I don’t want big heavy things because I’ll be using them for walking the dog in summer, I don’t need extreme weather boots just water proof for grass, I’ll use my welly’s otherwise. I’ve seen a couple of old post about brasher boots being good but the latest reviews on Trust pilot are shocking. so a good midrange boot that’s good for winter and summer ? Is leather the easiest to maintain ? I looked at Altberg boots but wasn’t sure if they where water proof Cheers
  5. Hello mate, Norfolk is a long way for me, I should of said in the original post around the Lancashire area cheers
  6. Cheers, I always keep a eye out on the internet I just need the right one to show up. I could get a mk38 trap if I wanted but would prefer a sporter with trap forend. i quite like the look of the new 525s with synthetic stock but not sure they would look right on a driven day
  7. I’m thinking of changing over from 30” to 32” barrels If anyone’s got one there thinking of getting shut off please get in touch. id like it to be a sporter with a trap forend if possible, I think they did a 525 with a trap forend a couple of years ago. ive got a Miroku mk70 that I can weigh in if wanted and I might weigh in my Maxus because I don’t use it much Cheers
  8. Yeah it makes you wonder, they’re not cheap either at £35 a pop just for the pin. I’ve kept my old one anyway
  9. All sorted, I got a pin from air gun spares and fit it my self. Pretty straightforward job, i probably would have got away with cleaning the pin to be fair but I fit new anyway. Cheers
  10. Brilliant thanks a lot, I’ve sent a message to both company’s 👍
  11. Hello i was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction of a new set of firing pins and springs for my MK70 ? I’ve looked online with no joy cheers
  12. Thanks for the reply’s guys, much appreciated
  13. It’s a vehicle mechanic role but at a big company so I guess safety would come into it ? I’ll have to think of a situation this has happened, I’ve been told to use the star effect. I feel like my heads going to explode !
  14. Excellent 👍 sounds good to me cheers mate
  15. Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here but I’ve got a interview on Thursday and running through some possible Competency questions Does anyone have a good answer for this question ? Describe an instance where you had to make a decision between the priorities of a supervisor or a client. thanks in advance 👍
  16. I know mate, I’ve seen blokes Nevermind woman on shoot days not want to pick up shot game ! Looks like it might end up being melted down because there’s not much room in my cabinet 👎
  17. Giving away a Sabel sbs that a reconditioned a few years ago, it’s not perfect but still a good rough/hide gun. preferably to go to new starter. Clearing out my cabinet for another project. 12g no idea measurements and choke sizes but think it’s 1/4 and 1/2 with 26” barrels bluing slightly coming off barrels, I did reblu it but it was my first attempt located near Leyland Lancashire
  18. 👍 it shoots a lot better than my Maxus so I will enjoy it
  19. When I priced a new stock up in my local gunshop another customer come up to me and said “ that’s been sat in a warm cabinet to long” ? a couple of people have said this to me now ? I’ve ordered a new stock at £450 but I’m worried that it’s going to do it again !
  20. You can just get your hand in to do it, remove the fuse box cover I think, then the bulb cover and the bulb just flicks out, I always found it easier to keeping the plug connected to the bulb worked easier. Make sure you put it in the same way it come out or else the beam pattern will be wrong for MOT
  21. That’s a great site thanks a lot 👍 yeah I’m a bit peeved about the crack because it’s not just about the gun, it’s the bloke I bought it off, he was a very knowledgeable person and I’m proud to have one of his guns 👍
  22. Cheers, I’ve rang Malmo in Lancaster and I’m they’ve told me it’s definitely not in warranty but they said I can take it in to look at and maybe they can source something. 👍 The man was a gunsmith and had been doing it for over 60 years and the stock doesn’t look like it’s been off, but yeah I can imagine over tightening a stock could cause it to crack. 👍
  23. Some very nice looking stocks on there ! I may give them a ring if I don’t get anywhere, I wonder what price they would be ?
