To increase English Partridge numbers you should shoot the birds that pair up the earliest. The older brids pair up first and demand a bigger teritory than younger ones, so by shooting pairs in December you should end up with more breading pairs of partridges in an area.

I think the main reason is pigeon have a greater choice on where to feed. With large amount of rape being farmed they are not concentrated to feed in certain fields. Fields are also a lot larger now than they used to be, i dont think this helps decoying.

I find it a very good friendly place to shoot!! It has a very good range of targets and plently of people happy to help.

They are good scopes for the money but a bit overkill for an airgun. A 3-9x40 will be plenty for air gun ranges.

i had one and everything that could go wrong did, i was not very impressed with mine and managed to achieve good groups. I would save up a bit more and buy a weirhrauch, much better gun with much better build quality!

I dont use one! for day time vermin shooting they may be ok, but useless when lamping rabbits or foxes, you simply do not have the time especially on foxes. It does not take long before you are able to judge ranges quite well with out using a range finder.

just my opinion but maybe 8-32 is a bit overkill for anyones need's. You may be better of sacrificing some mag for glass quality. A 6-24x50 may be more suitable. Take a good look at the bushnell and weaver scopes in your price bracket, they are both good makes and superior to both Hawke and MTC imho.

i dont think you can, not 100% on that though. Iv got one and very pleased with it. They are very good, well built rifles however i have heard it can be hit and miss when it comes to accuracy though.

i thinks many people talking on here down really understand big game hunting. Big game hunting brings at lot of money to places where other work is minimal. A lot of big game hunting perserves animals ie lions are breed to be shot in the same way pheasants are, but not ever lion breed for shooting gets shot. Game reserves spend a large amount of time preserving there stock and keeping out poachers, nearly all big game hunting is africa is sustainble. Quite a lot of big cats shot are shot becasue they are posing a threat either by eating goats etc or plaquing humans. MAny of you think its right to go out a shoot a fox for 'pest control' but not too pay to shoot a big cat for pest control!!! Many non shooters believe driven game shooting in England is just posh toff drving range rovers blasting poor defenceless birds out of the air.Im sure most of you would call them nieve but this is exacally what you are doing to big game hunters. Lests be honest stalking a big cat for days waiting to get a shot or lamping rabbits at 60 yards....... which is really more sporting?
