  1. Not as much as the rabbits will annoy them.
  2. I was always told to twist them, otherwise the legs can be left in the dog and cause a problem.
  3. Hello Reaching out to the wisdom of PW. I have a young Cocker which of late is picking up lots of ticks. Does anyone have any tips on how to help stop this? Thanks in advance.
  4. Strange, I have a few of these and they are really good scopes. About 10 years ago they were like gold dust and within minutes of one being listed for sale it was snapped up regardless of the price. Assuming its a Philippines made one that is.
  5. I went to a computer spares shop online, can’t remember the name, but much cheaper and very good.
  6. If moneys no option Anschutz every time. But you wont notice a different in accuracy between the two. I shoot a CZ because the extra £300 was buying me nothing but style.
  7. Completely depends on the type of shooting you want to do. Just clays, no problem with 32 inch. If you want it for game and pigeons you definitely don’t want anything longer than 30 inch. 2 inches might not seem much but boy do you notice it if you’re shooting flat land partridges on small shoots, the same in a pigeon hide. If i was only shooting clays and high driven game on high bird shoots I wouldn’t even look at anything less than 32 inch though.
  8. Correct me if im wrong but i didn’t think the lead phase out was effecting rifles?
  9. And maybe a photo without the mounts!! Because if the tube is damaged that will make a big difference to the price also!
  10. Please elaborate, sounds interesting?
  11. Exactly. And just because its cleared doesn’t mean its safe to shoot in all directions! So you really do have to ask yourself what point is it achieving. Why not just vet firearms applicants throughly regarding gun safety for a start.
  12. Out of interest, how does a good wad leave the barrel clean? Surely the powered is behind the wad, therefore bad/wet powered would still leave dirty barrels regardless if the wad performed perfectly?
  13. I have never really understood the system for clearing land. It always seems very arbitrary.
  14. Like her or not, or agree with it or not, what she has pulled off is a remarkable feat in face of all odds.
  15. I think that’s an unfair judgement on her. When you’re born in life you get given a hand of cards. Andrew got a very good hand, she got a poor hand. She has played her hand very well, Andrew through arrogance has thrown his away. Whilst her intentions may have been dubious she hasn’t broken any laws and checkmated a man who had every get out of jail free card under the sun, from royal protection, to high profile connections, to the best legal team money can buy. Fair play in my book.
  16. Exactly. Everyone loves a drama and all that.
  17. Exactly. Boris is a very topical example of that. Boris himself is a master manipulator and so far, given everything that is stacked against him evidence wise, has managed to sway an incredible amount of people. Prince Andrew will have people of similar intelligence working for him doing the same with his case. In the picture with just her, there’s nothing supporting her body, the photo must have been taken mid movement for her to be in that position. Yet the smile/face looks very set and posed. I do get why its not black and white for many people, the act is the same, the only difference is where it took place. If you believe the age of consent should be 16 this should apply independently of geographical borders. If you think it should be 18 then you should be lobbying your MP not just accepting this moral injustice. Personally I think Andrew has lived the life and done no end of stuff with zero regard for consequences. If this was this only shortfall it would have soon been swept under the carpet. Unfortunately for Andrew this is the straw that broke the camels back.
  18. My best advice is don’t start with the whole farm. Identify one field of OSR, and ask if you can just shoot that until the crop matures, say all access will be on foot. Prove your worth, dont live in in the farmers pocket, check in occasionally with him/her occasionally, no more than once in every three weeks.
  19. Haven’t ever booked a shoot advisory visit. But dealing with both organisation in different regards I would say the GWTC will be far far better than BASC.
  20. I don’t think it’s a man on a horse, I’m pretty sure it’s a person, probably a woman! I can’t find the coin in any of my books, at a guess I’d says it’s 1600’s era (ish). Be interesting to find out though.
  21. 👍 I do understand your points, but it is a rather difficult pill swallow for those who abided by the rules.
  22. I am definitely not a friend of someone spouting them opinions. Nearly everyone in the 15-25 year old age bracket abided to the rules. As a young(ish) person myself it is insulting of you to suggest otherwise. We was told from the very start of this thing that Covid-19 was unlikely to affect us badly, but it was our duty to ‘lockdown’ for the good of the older generation. Lockdown we did. I agree that a fair few of the ‘old boys’ (80+) decided that lockdown wasn’t for them but that wasn’t the 15-25 year old age bracket as you so claim! As above I love to see pictures of you, and all your badass mates, and all the 25 year olds, breaking the first lockdown rules, Im confident you have none.
  23. I have lived neither a sheltered life or a retired one! But during the first Lockdown, despite running my own business I and everyone else i know stuck to the rules. The only people it turns out that didn’t abided by the rules is the MP’s. If you can provide evidence of you partying in the first lockdown with a load of mates then I’m willing to reconsider. But you can’t because you didn’t do it, and neither did anyone but the MP’s.
