Meeting Diana, Princess of Wales 9/11 Death of a much beloved ex-gf

RIP Very witty, one of the new breed of comics, shame.

Yes, my mate who has a garage mentioned the labour rates. He explained to them that any garage charging £47 per hour won't be that good.
-
Hadn't thought of that, thank you

Good point, I checked and it's got 8 months left, so it must be 2yr 4m old

Hi, I took my ex-step father in law (complicated, I know) to look at cars this afternoon. He asked me whether it was worth purchasing the extended warranty that most car supermarkets offer. I usually decline them personally. He's looking at buying a 2yr old Seat Leon with average mileage. Does anyone have experience of these warranties, should he buy the warranty??

I feel very sorry to all those people who have served over there, including some close friends of mine. It saddens me that so many soldiers were killed in trying to help the Afghan people.

My deepest sympathies to all the families affected by this, they are the true victims in all of this.

Hi, has anyone got an old Petzl Micro Headtorch lurking anywhere? I need the rubber battery cover to repair a sentimental one of mine. Cheers

I gassed up a MF combine in the late 80s, I've still got the twin fuel filter off it as I thought it would come in handy... I remember seeing a really small MF combine up in Scotland years ago.

I'd have that on my mantelpiece, lovely item.

I had a look at a Freelander 1 today, solid underneath, good Td4 engine, but some noise from the rear prop at low speed whilst turning. Shame as the price was good. I might take a look at the Suzuki Grand Vitara as older models have the Hdi engine which is pretty bomb proof. I'm avoiding stuff that needs welding, I've got a MIG and am competent but want my life back. I'll keep looking 👀

Hi, I've always kept a 4x4 as a 2nd vehicle; crossing fields, towing a small boat, logging etc. I got rid of my old LWB Frontera diesel as it needed too much welding for its next MOT. Any suggestions for its replacement, I was looking at double cabs but cant justify one really. Was thinking of a Freelander 1?

'Kurtail' weedkiller or Keep digging it out Horrible stuff, hate it with a passion

Missed this the other day on the news, Ned Beatty passed away aged 83yrs old. Deliverance has to be one of my favourite films.

I have a vague recollection of something, but the only bit I remember is that they built a cement mixer out of a beer barrel and also used it as a washing machine. Is that the one...?
-
Grew them once from a kit,...I got 3 altogether. The bottom picture looks like 'Earth Balls', inedible. I used to pick Birch Boletus from under the trees near me, fry them up with garlic and butter! I was reading a book the other day that said you should shake the mushroom over the ground after picking it to spread the spores, dont know how true that is.

Hi, has anybody got any recent experience of getting a shotgun correctly deactivated, price etc. Cheers

Mozambique drill?

Thanks for all these replies, I'll invest in a C type fast charger and make sure I've got a decent connection in the cig lighter.
-
Hi, I have a cig lighter adapter to charge my Samsung mobile in my car. Whilst on a road trip it seemed to take forever to charge it up. Is there a faster alternative? Thanks

If they are Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries then just send them for recycling, this type of battery has been superseded by Li-ion batteries. I've spent years taking battery packs apart and replacing duff Ni-Cd/Ni-MH cells, it just isnt worth it.

I had a good system: Sell junk, money goes in to PayPal account. Buy more junk using money from PayPal account It all looks a bit more complicated now.
