Revo is owned by Kahn arms -
It would seem to be a lot easier if you can apply first and then just do the deal part ex or whatever , i'll give them a ring and see what their policy is , Cheers

So, I have decided i'm not really getting along with my my Remington 783 Varmint , it's an absoloute tack driver but very front heavy and quite unwieldy and i shoot in very rough country So would like a shorter lighter rifle in the same calibre .223 I understand i need to do a 1 for 1 variation , But how does it work ? do i sell the rifle first and then apply ?

Dyfed Powys police and Land Clearance
Blacksheep replied to Blacksheep's topic in General Shooting Matters
Took your advice and phoned South Wales Firearms instead and they were very helpful , Land already cleared upto .243 on their database so i am good to get on with it . Cheers -
Out on a farm i have permission to shoot on when the neighbouring farmer asks if i can do a bit for him ?, Great i think so I Just emailed the firearms dept with what i thought was a simple question , " Does a certain farm have Firearms clearance and if it does what calibre ? " (as i do not have an open licence) I received a phonecall within half an hour asking me if i had permission to shoot there (i do now ) and then telling me i had to submit a full permission form just to find out ! , surely it would make sense to just tell me yes or no and i can then ask the police to clear it if necessary. Anybody have experience of this with Dyfed Powys ?

Just to drag up an old thread , I thought i would give this a go with a slight twist and use Donkey hoof as my mates 2 have just had theirs trimmed . I have no idea what horse hoof clippings smell like but can assure people that Donkeys hoof trimmings do indeed smell evil , like *** in fact ! So have brewed up a few litres to try , if my terriers reaction to it is anything to go by it should work fine , will report back after testing .

Anybody have problems with Remington 783 .223 magazine feed ? mine keeps trying to load 2 rounds at once , its a real pain , caused me to lose a follow up shot last night while i sorted the jam out. I'm hoping theres an easy fix rather than go through the whole warranty thing

20 weeks for a grant , Dyfed Powys .

Sounds like they are moving the goal posts again ! Dyfed powys were still talking about a mentor condition when i phoned them recently . there should be a national straightforward way to sort this I.E. a recognised training course for rifle handling or something .
-
Just out of interest did you have to have a mentor for the 243 ?

I use a kettle full of boiling water poured around the rim , you get enough expansion to crack the bead off then using the usual methods , have never failed doing it this way .

Nice one cheers
