  1. Same story weith me last year. Not a company I'll use again.
  2. A mate of mine uses one and recons it's easily up to the job. Been thinking of one myself on his recommendation. Only seen it light up the village street but was pretty impressed.
  3. Hi, was wondering if the dog is house trained and if he gets on well with other dogs (see there is a spaniel in the pic but I've got a terrier at the moment). Are there any behavioural issues that you'd address if you had the time and has he had his knackers off? Have you had him around a gun yet; if so how was he? Cheers for any additional info, he's a good looking beast!
  4. Looking good ) Need to do something about the number plate though........................... ;O)
  5. landrovernet is my choice, other than the S2 club. Pretty good allround )
  6. Sad bas****s like me I guess. I have 3 including 2 series 2a's. Big brand loyalty with the land rover. They go wrong all the time but people keep on buying them. Easy, the older ones, to maintain and cheap parts. I don't understand it myself, as you spend as much time underneath the things as driving them, but I am one of those geeks. Haed over heart you buy a Toyota, which is what I'll do next, but it is a supply and demand thing. And they are perfect for what they were designed for.
  7. MIne arrived a few weeks ago now (could be 2) but just back in from my first wander round with the AA410 and this on the scope. Brilliant!
  8. For my sins I'm a, bank staff, Paramedic.
  9. Ah, forgot about that. Yip I cant have access when he's not there. Never been a problem though as he's a farmer.
  10. This is waht i do for ease more than anything. Not much space in the cottage. When I got my cert. i din't have a cabinet so was advised to write a letter to the fire arms people letting them know that while the gun was on my cert. it would be kept at my friends. I was also advised that he could have the gun on his certificate to avoud any posible issues but we've not got round to this yet. Never been a problem with the FEO or his wife ;O)
  11. Same here. The problem I find with shooting off the left shoulder is while walking through a wood/scrub. It's just not a natural thing to carry the gun and mount through all that stuff on to the left. Clays or driven stuff is OK but rough shooting I always find a problem. May give this tape on the lenze thing a go though ;O)

    Salmon

Love shushimi and eat lots of fish raw when I catch it; salmon, mackerel - anything really. It wont make you sick. IIRC it's probably actually better for you as none of the nutrients are destroyed in the cooking. Got to know the source though and I'd not do it with farmed salmon - there is a process called deading that would put anyone off eating farmed salmon, irrespective of the industries stance on welfare.
  13. I'm going to head out at about 14:00 today so put down some feed for the last shoot on Saturday. Now; I don't think there is much point in puting much in the feeders so was just going to scatter some grain around randomly in the general vacinity of the feeders. Is this a silly thing to do? Should I use the feeders; scatter randomly or leave little piles on the ground. Only a couple of days left so it does not have to be around long. Any tips appreciated. Cheers, Fraser
  14. Couple of people have mentioned doing the inside of the chassis. This is critical as (LR) chassis rot from the inside out. You couldn't do this with the cans so you have to look at one of the other methods suggested.
