  1. Could you use pink parafeen?
  2. I used to get a lift to work with a guy who had a Morris Marina. The windscreen seal leaked, hence, he had no carpets in it. There was always an inch or two of water in the bottom. Accelerating and braking used to create mini tsunamis.
  3. Also, if you dug the filler out carefully, you got a free news paper to read. Page three, if you were lucky.
  4. There'd be no more curvature in that part of the body.
  5. Don't forget the fury dice on the mirror and seat covers. The older generation and taxi drivers had those bead seat covers on the front seats.
  6. Looks like it's been deep fried in batter.
  7. Multi tool. You'll not regret buying it, so useful in many ways, not just skirting.
  8. Got some and tried it. It did clean it a bit, unfortunately, it doesn't replace huge chunks of chipped enamel.
  9. Thanks guys, I will have a chat with John Wray Country Cookers and also have a look at Everhots.
  10. We have mains gas. We got the impression electricity may be slightly cheaper to run than gas.
  11. Just tried running it on coke, but it went out after we poured the sixth bottle in.
  12. It is riddled twice a day. Aga do not recommend using wood, we have only ever used anthracite or fuels formed into cobbles such as Phurnicite, Taybrite, Extraheat and Rose Blend.
  13. Tried four fuels now, non of which was coke, all recommended for Aga's, all with the same results, regardless of cost. Aga instructions tell you to do this clean once a month, Even the engineer who came out to it said once a month and I even tried the fuel he recommended.
  14. Does anyone have, or know anything about, an Aga converted to run on electric? When we bought our cottage six years ago, we inherited an old, solid fuel Aga. We love it to bits, it's like an old friend. However, as much as we love it, it is becoming a real chore to shut down an clean (often taking the barrel out) once a month. You are talking of a couple of days job with the shutting down, cooling down, cleaning and re-lighting. Also, the old girl is looking past her best and could do with a refurb. My question is, are we better buying a refurbished Aga that has had an electric conversion? Or, do we bite the bullet and buy a brand new electric Aga? Which is best?

  16. As they are all numbered 1, a vote won't help you much. Have a great day whatever you decide.
  17. I'd get one of those fancy shooting outfits like David Beckham got!
  18. Good for you. Can we have a picture of the stick when it's complete please? I'm contemplating starting my first buffalo horn market stick soon.
  19. Welcome to the club, hope you enjoy it. Out of interest, which job did you enjoy the most and which was the worst?
  20. Title sounds like me in my swimming trunks!
  21. Sorted. I'd somehow messed up my settings. Doh!
  22. My 'View New Content' button has stopped working. When I press it, it states 'Sorry, no new content'. Anyone else having problems?
  23. Why do you want a picture of Junction 30 of the M1?
  24. Aspall's Draught and Harry Sparrow are the best ciders I've tasted. Won't buy anything else now.
