  1. Did I just hear right? The popes visit is going to cost the tax payer £10>12 million ?? Why the hell do we have to pay for him to come here ? That bunch of hypocrits and kiddy fiddlers have got more then enough money in there coffers so why do normal working tax payers have to shell out?

Angry,, to ruddy right I am.. :good:

Cannot agree more with you mate!

  2. HI

Just thought I would let you know about a new venture we have started in the Gloucestershire Wildfowling Club .

We wanted like so many other clubs to introduce new people to the art of Wildfowling.

There are many people out there who fancy giving Wildfowling ago, and to be honest dont really know where to start or if they will even enjoy it.

So what we have introduced at the GWA is Wildfowling Taster Flights.

The idea being that once a person as registered their interest in a Taster Flight , a Full Member of the GWA will make contact with the person concerned and arrange a suitable time to accompany them on one of the club Marshes.

It will either be a Morning or Evening flight, where the opportunity to experience Foreshore Wildfowling will be provided.

Obviously we can not guarantee their first Duck or Goose, but im sure it would give some idea to what Wildfowling is all about.

Obviously Insurance and a Valid SG Cert must be shown before being allowed out on the Club Foreshore, but with approx 26 Miles of Foreshore Wildfowling available via the Club, we hope this may encourage New Comers to take up the sport of Wildfowling.

There will be a small fee payable to the Club, but it will be 1 person per Full GWA Member.

I have volunteered to be the main contact for this idea as I feel its a very good idea.

What do you think, do you do something like this within your club and how sucessful is it in introdung new members to the sport etc

I have been a member of Leicestershire Wildfowler's over the last year but have not had any luck at any foreshore shooting! I would be very much interested in coming over for a shoot in one of your marshes indeed!

  4. Hi,

the gun is choked at 1/4 and 1/2, and the gun was bought new by me 4 years ago.

    Thanks for all the interest,

I am receiving offers that are very close to the asking price so if the beretta silver pigeon is your gun of choice then I can assure you this is one excellent example that has been very well looked after.

If required you can even shoot before you buy/

    Many thanks

    PM

    Weight of the gun please?

  5. I appreciate the offer but it really wouldn't be worth my while doing it for that, I also have had clients come in the past and charged them a lot more than that, wouldn't be fair to them if they saw me doing it cheaper.

    No probs.

May be you could advertise a sat/sun and only confirm if you have the min required number of guns?

  6. I have a few additional days available on two Lincolnshire estates at just £18.75 per bird (no vat / no hidden costs) This is based on 8 guns shooting 150 birds. Both shoots are long established and fully keepered. One is predominantly pheasants with some partridges, and the other is partridges with the odd pheasant.

Days can be taylored to your requirements.

To register an interest please PM me with your name and phone number and i will ring you with full information.

These days are advertised elswhere so move quickly, as they sell fast at this price.

    Richard.

I am interested in the partridge shoot. Could you pl mail me the date?

    Many thanks

  7. I am unsure re. previous comments on shooting gun down esp the one mentioning game shooting! It would be unsafe if it was driven game shoot and the guns were pointed down (you don't want to accidentally shoot the beaters!).

The correct way, I am told, is that on the pre mount , the gun should be slightly down but still pointed parallel to the position you would take when you shoot. On beat shoots of course the gun needs to always be higher.

    Ash.
