  1. Now I'm thinking... do I sell it or do I buy another rifle to put under it!??
  2. Hi Fallowbuck. Its 4 yrs old, but spent most of it's life in the cabinet. Frankly it looks new to my eyes, and I'd be quite happy to take it back and refund if you were not happy with it.
  3. Afternoon folks, swapping the scope on my .270 for a Swaro so up for sale as no longer needed. The scope is second hand but in very good condition. It's been mounted with Optilock's so no ring marks. Supplied in original box with warrantee and other paperwork enclosed. Just replaced the battery also, and red-dot works a treat in low light. details: Meopta Meostar R1. 3-12x56 Red-dot illuminated 4C Reticle First Focal Plane Price: £450 collected from Milton Keynes or £475 delivered Mainland UK
  4. I have a hardy moderator on my stalking rifle, which has a sort of muzzle-break designed into the end. Unfortunately when it rains this design acts as a very effective funnel to channel water into the barrel. Have thought of sticking a condom over the end, but not sure how coming back from Scotland with half a dozen used johnnies will go down with the other half

    Got ink today

Evening all! Well as pointed out ( not least by myself!) I did ask for opinions - good and bad are welcome.. as long as they're honest.. I'm fairly thick-skinned (must have made it hard for the artist 😂!). Agree with the comments that it's not a 'sporting scene'.. it's more of a piece of art with a nod to my love of stalking.. in answer to the relevance of the honeycomb, there isn't one. I just found its geometry pleasing to my eye... could be just me though! Cheers for all the feedback... genuinely interesting to hear views on this as well as tattoos in general. Tbox

LOL. On the other hand you'll get off all those comments from folk that tell you you'll regret it later in life!

    Got ink today

Very much enjoyed all the feedback.. both positive and.. well... 'other'! very much of the opinion that if you don't want honest opinions don't bother asking . Handlebar - thanks for sharing your ink.. very much like the geometric one on the leg... really clean lines. other feedback that I particularly enjoyed.. Well, Lloyd the good news is in that case your nephew has a successful career ahead of him as an international award winning tattoo artist.. congrats! Thanks Mungler.... I did not know that about 'the scene' as I am not 'in it' myself. I am glad that you and your special pals like it though

    Gout!

Had two excruciating attacks in the past. I cut protein and other foods high in protein and purine (like peas) out of my diet for a few weeks and have since increased my exercise, reduced my weight by about 10kg's and make sure I keep properly hydrate... it's a build up of uric acid crystals that gravity tend to deposit in the large joint of the big toe. drinking plenty of water and a little bit of diet management has so far kept it at bay for me.. good luck!
  13. Cant comment on a Franchi but I've got a betti - no problems with it, but having had a go on a friends Lincoln I reckon it's slightly nicer put together than the betti. But whatever fits you will be the right answer mate.
  14. not in .223 but I love my tikka!
  15. So my 2-stroke engine on my generator is ker-nackered and the one on my lawnmower has a funny defuser type arrangement on the exhaust so cant attach a hose... Anyone got any other ideas on this? Ferrets not the way forward here do you think? cheers, Tbox
  16. Well done! much better than my afternoon... sat in a field with naff-all flying for 3 hours!
  17. Thanks guys... will try the 2-stroke... have a little generator that will do the job I reckon!
  18. Hello PW..ers! I seem to have some unwanted guests and this time it isn't the in-laws! Rabbits seem to have set up home under the house and I want rid... Anyone in the Milton Keynes area got ferrets that could help... or open to other suggestions!? cheers, Xbox
  19. I think it's down to personal preference... I tend to go at the end of the day.. this gives me time to get home, do 'dad stuff' and eat etc.. then when everything calms down I head out at about 8:30 (gyms pretty empty then).. come home, shower and sleep like the dead!
  20. Had a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier for 11 years... shed very little hair and was a good sturdy animal with a lovely temperament. Would have been a **** gun dog though!
  21. Very sad indeed. I was at school with his daughter Cara.. never forget him telling a bunch of cocky lads to **** Off at the school fate... rolled with laughter!
