Some guide lines on the bag are way over for some dogs Feed to the eye but mak sure it's getting enough good quality food in its early years Try a google search for other opinions Congrats on the new pup

Do you want another dog ? Being kicked out of a shoot would not make me want another even if you get one very soon what's to say it will be any good our ready for next season don't be rushed into taking it shooting or you will ruin it There are hundreds of gun dogs/pets housed indoors its the training that goes into them that makes the difference I would get lots of books and DVDs on the subject prior to making any decisions David lisset DVDs and Simon tyres are two must DVDs I would highly recommend you look up

Personal choice I personally wouldent buy one There are plenty quality labs bred with good proven lines and all the tests done Its hard enough getting a good dog give yourself the best chance buy picking from a well though out, planned and tested breeding

Its 6 months old dog am sure it will manage Mine was on RC excellent food put it on Skinners Crunchy at 6 Months Feed her on Raw meat bones veg etc one in every 4 meals now Both dogs get this and skinners Duck and Rice or maintainance

Dont like boiled linseed my self tends to go sticky, leaves a coating thin it down as already said or use teak, true, or raw linseed oil instead

If he is no problem in the field walks at heel hunts and retrives very well is the answer not as you say stick him on the lead when you arrive ?

I would agree with Kent If you got it at 8W it would be a hard enough challenge let alone 2Y down the line when it knows what life is all about

Good stuff hope its going to get better I would say its bored on its owne for the periods of time you have said and the routine you say the dog keeps at 16w its very young cockers in perticular love company Can you not extend the period of time it has with you of a night have it in the house for a hr or so stick it out in the kennel later or cate it in the house till you go to bed and stick it out side of a evening, up early have it out for 15m training in the morning etc I would almost put money on this improving the behaviour Iam not by any means saying let the dog rule your life style be at it becan call but it is a very youn pup at the end of the day Best of luck and keep us posted

16W old and gets 3 walks and 30 mins training ? Sounds a lot Is She in the kennel on her own ? When is the last time she has any human contact of a night prior to the barking ? Have you/ could you try getting up and out with the pup early and doing 15 mins training prior to work then 10-15 after work instead
