I was under the impression that under high powers you need a tough pellet something that wouldnt deform. I maybe wrong but i would say weight isnt the issue but the ability not to deform

Ron I think the key is in the hide, if you can get some netting over the top of you it makes a big difference. Also get into position once the pigeon has commited to its landing you will notice the change in wing beat. I shoot with an airrifle so i have to get them to land and stay around long enough to shoot them. Which really hones your field craft skills.

You can try the east beach in shoeburyness next to the boom for bass, it wont be easy fishing! Theres lots of small bass with the odd large one, ive had them up to 6lb. I would only fish big tides with a SW wind. Dexon
