  1. Hi everybody thanks for the emails but all sorted now . cheers happy new year
  2. Theres always one , this is why I am sorting it out now . limiting it to 1 or 2 , introduce him (sorry ,or her) to the farmer who I see on the land sometimes and call before every vist . with rough shooting it takes 2 . I have taken 3 mates and my father on different days and hes been great . loved the bottle of brandy for xmas. He knows about the emigration
  3. Thanks for all your responces . I now have 2 people I am arranging to take out to see the land , so I dont think it would be fair to leave the offer open at the moment. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!
  4. I have put this on the land site but I dont know if to many people look at this. I have some land that I have had permission to shoot on for the last three months. I am emigrating down under in the next two or three months and would like to past it on , but the person must have a licence , insurance , decoys , etc , and most of all not a complete wanke@ . there are no fees or strings . but I will choose who gets it if its allright with the farmer . Please please please no waster, I have been trying to sell my house and the country seems to be full of them !! :*)
  5. no worrys I will put it on general , cheers
  6. cheers fellas ,been wanting to do it for years, it took me years to find a bit of land to shoot on and dont want to see it go to waste , its quite a size with loads of hedge rows and several flight lines . surpised there has been more response !
  7. bet he got a bit of chaffing
  8. Right , I have permission to shoot on land near norwich which I shoot on most saturdays, pest control only . I have only had permission for about 3 months . I am willing to share the shoot as I am emigrating to oz in 2 to 3 months and willing to past it on if the farmer is willing . anyone in the norwich area reply through this forum . Please no wakos  , must have licence , insurance decoys etc. Please dont let me down
  9. one thing you must do is dont move! I have been doing some rough shooting , walking along the hedge rows , with them flying out way before I get near them, I can across a flight line , there is a oak tree in the line , I found that if I stand aganist the tree with the gun pointing up , the birds dont see you , then as the wings change to slow for the tree , then move for the shot , got three the last time a went out at roosting time. The same will apply with the rifle shooting find the trees they go in and dont move if they come in , move your gun to the tree just before the land , once they land keep the final adjustments slow . I use to do this as a lad , they love fir trees this time of year . good luck
  10. cheers guys , will be getin him a single malt this xmas  Im going this sat as well with my dad to do some rough shooting along the hedgerows . Nothing coming down on the decoys at the mo !!
  11. So Cool , twice in the head and once in the snatch , poor girl , getting the hang of it . Nice one
  12. I have some land to shot on at last , quite a few acres of land , went last saturday and put some decoys down near some sugar beat a few came down but had to rough shoot with my mate on the trees and hedges, got 11 and a rabbit had an ace time , going this Sat so will get some pics , happy man now
  13. Had an absulate blast. sat in a hide in the middle of the marsh. infrount of a flooded bit of marsh with the sun came up , very nice , cold , (picture the scence if you will ) my mate was sitting the other side , watching the sky , me the other way, the first up were the crows, Im sure they were taking the ****, crowing all morning . we saw 3 pairs over an hour but to faraway , then a crow came near and pushed his luck. he went to the ground 30gs heavier. this brought up a pair of ducks that came with in 20 feet my mate. He had a cup of soup in his hand at the time of the crow downing. I said to him go for it mate . the gun went smoothly to his sholder lined up and squezzed the trigger. Click missfire??? , No !! the plumb didnt have any carts in the barrels :*) , he had taken out the shells before having the soup . there was a lot of swearing and laughing , and the rest of the morning **** taking. So the bag was just one crow , 3 shots fired . still had a ball and dieing to go again , this time with some decoys and a better placed hide
  14. The bakel has a fixed 1/4 and 3/4 . the browning is multi choke so I think I will go for the browning with 2 1/4 teague chokes . I dont know what the catrs are yet as he is bringing them with him. thanks for all your replys B) B) :(
