  1. Pups now sold! Thanks for the interest. Cheers
  2. 2no. Sprocker dog pups available, 8 weeks old on the 25th May. Docked with paperwork. Both solid black with small white bibs. Very bold and responsive pups that will make excellent working dogs. Sire (Springer) and Dam (Cocker) can be seen. Both hard hunting, honest and biddable dogs. Both parents are small type spaniels with bags of stamina that have excellent noses and naturally quarter a tight pattern. PM with any questions. Pup 1 Pup 2 £400 each I'm based near Newark Notts. Cheers

  4. Been in this position myself 5 years ago, so I know what you have gone through. You've made a decision that is right for you and the dog and I know that would not have been easy for you mate. In my case a young bitch broke her back leg and from looking at the break I thought that was the end of her as a working dog. My instant thought was to have the vet put her to sleep as she would not be able to work. I was taken aback when the vet offered to take her on and keep her as a pet himself. He wanted to fuse the bone which would probably have to be broken again and fused several times as the dog matured and developed. This would involve a lot of discomfort and cage rest for the dog and at a cost of around 10k. I suggested that we take the problem away and remove the whole back leg and I would be happy to give her a chance. 20 mins after the op the little bitch was up and running around as if nothing had happened. Over the next 2 months I walked her on the lead and progressed to letting her run with the other dogs. I noticed as her stamina improved she was very keen to enter cover, work hedges and even jump ditches with ease. I started to use her with the Harris Hawks, flushing pheasants and rabbits for them, she never tired and faced any cover. The following season I took her beating once a week and now she is a regular part of the beating team and is out 2 or 3 times a week in the season. Surprisingly she's one of the quickest and hard hunting spaniels I've had, I suppose she's carrying a little less weight I am glad I gave her the chance to prove my initial thoughts wrong, she's turned out to be a cracking little dog and I no longer think of her as a three legged dog, she's another working dog in the kennel that I am happy to take out and work. The issue of joint wear will probably arise later in her life and decisions will have to be made at that point, until then she can enjoy a life doing what she was bred to do and clearly enjoys. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.290125921097142.65272.289866197789781&type=1 Cheers
  5. Have you tried the LCD brightness controls, press the FN key plus F5 or F6 (I think it's those keys on the Sony) Also when you have the monitor plugged in have you pressed the FN key plus F7 to toggle between the LCD screen and external monitor?
  6. Great pictures John! All the best for Saturday.
  7. Have you entered the correct IP settings for the Camera, it needs to match the settings of your LAN. Have a look at this http://www.loftek.us/upload/guides/IP%20Camera%20Quickstart%20Guide%201.pdf
  8. You're about an hour and a half away from Will Clulee http://www.willcluleegundogs.co.uk It would be well worth a trip to have some one to one training sessions. 3 pups and a youngster is a big commitment to training, are you able to kennel them separatley? Cheers
  9. Early training and her first year was single kills and high rewards (fed up on kills). Have considered trying her on duck this coming season. Not had any experience with Gyr x Pere's, a friend flys a Gyr x Merlin at magpies, seen it take a few and I was impressed by the flights. A few friends fly pure Pere's at game with great success. One has a small male that specks out when it waits on and puts in fantastic stoops at partridge, a joy to watch.
  10. The Female Pere x Saker is very aggressive on crows, shows great motivation and determination once slipped.
  11. 2lb 9 is a good sized bird, my female hunts a 2lb 8 and will take feather all day long. Takes rabbits on the lamp at the same weight but have to take 1/2 oz off her to fly them during the day. Had so much success on feather it's her preferred quarry.
  12. Pere x Saker And another
  13. Fly a Female Harris and a Female Pere x Saker
  14. Had a Surf and loved it, would have one again Tomorrow! Mpg not great but would go anywhere and put a smile on your face at the lights when you booted it! Now got a 06 Ranger and can't fault it, not so good off road but all the **** from the dogs is kept in the back, mpg is between 30 - 35mpg. Picked it up at the right money so very pleased with it, would have preferred the Toyota but they were fetching good money for examples that had been worked hard so the Ranger was a good option!
