  1. chris & charlie thank you ... i understand that on forums straight answers are not always forth coming and the trolling of some ppl is more aimed at pulling a post apart rather than giving an answer or opinion so again thanks and soon as *** i will take a pic as it will look in transit
  2. the gun is covered its not on show like that i just threw it in to take the pic so i could ask the question. theres a draw string nylon boot bag over the protrusion the question is can a gun be carried on a bike rather than on me on a bike... i seen many firearms on quads ect but thus far never on a bike
  3. yes blunderbuss thers a bag... look at my chain guard ,do u think id cake my gun in that b4 i even got to the shoot?
  4. of course theres a bag over the stock that i connect to the straps ,my issue is that the 500 wont take down in any significant way and iv found riding with a bag across my back problematic to say the least... the question is more driven to the side mounting on a bike
  5. hello shooting folk, I find myself in a quandary with regard to the transporting of a shotgun on a motorcycle ,i have a pair of Investarms <20/410 combo and 12/12> both folders that go nicely in a ratbag <rat catcher bag> lashed to the side however this is not the issue. my problem was with my Mossberg 500 ATP pump, I love shooting it be it clays vermin or whatever but carrying it on the bike is... well was... a problem. A short time ago I came by a shotgun mollie scabbard which functionally seems perfect securing firmly in place and clipping through the trigger guard holding the gun in. The thing is looking at the rig it just seems illegal to me having part sticking out ,I know that by the letter of the law a gun dont have to be covered but its extremely advisable to have it so, in transit there will be a trigger lock in place and it will be under my charge at all times with FAC on my person ect ... I include a photo and ask your opinions... legal or not cheers shooting types your impetus is always gratefully accepted )=]}~
  6. its alot of car for that 1.6 engine so mk1s would overheat ..that said iv had a few and loved them,i found with the bolt off roof they are the muts to lamp out of as well. iv still got a spare front roof set up with rota lights incase i get another ...<incase=when>. atm im using the terios because its the slimmest 4x4 i could get <any slimmer and you would be lamping off a BMX>
  7. he does have that birken-noggin for sure.. my wee oaf`s birkenwald...beautiful head with errrr... hmmm... unusual workings in there. oh n i must add that purdey is bloody gorgeous
  8. i really thought its a `Bombyliidae` on 1st inspection
  9. i live by the initial shooting in birtley n work just out of dent where the 2nd shooting took place.. there are all the police in the world buzzing about but other than the 1st days door to door i cant see that theres much being done. infact inlight of the threats he made the day b4 release against his ex id say the shear volume of police bodies on the ground is an attempt to look like all possible is being done after they dropped the ball on the 2nd maniac in as many months. oh n swiss.tony remember everytime some barmpot goes ape with a gun n then tops his self the public feels robbed of justice and thats when we legitimate shooters become scapegoats.. AGAIN!
  10. kinetic hammer to split rounds your not happy with... its a learning curve after all.
  11. i have the investarm 20g over/410 under n utterly love it it gets used for everything n shoots great, infact iv got an eye out for a 12/12 investarm as the 1 i have can be expensive to feed ...3" magnum proof folders what can be better
  12. just thought id add this pick with him waiting for our captain to drop a bird for him... hes a little over a year in this its good to be able to put him on someone and even between 2 people covering a dogless area that would otherwise have lost birds.. his beating skills are 1st class too
  13. my big black oaf worked last season on a local walk up. did all that was expected of him tho there was a sin or 2... moaned like right tart at dinner time in the car, then i let him out only for him to try and bone a very young puppy that really shouldnt have been there.. his other lil transgression was to punish the shoot captains odd miss by stealthily helping his self to a bird out of his game bag and bringing it to me much to the delight of everyone that witnessed it . the shear style of a good pointer at work is a thing to see n as such means their trespasses are often over looked ...his 1st day with the guns started with the land owner showing great interest in him as he tore across a field at full throttle, as he said to me "you can see the shear drive & intelligence" fargo bounced of a really obvious fence then went on to do the said same thing on the said same fence 3 more times in a row . its true they are very hard work n the farts!! omg the farts , (at times they smell like a bible story) but never was there a more rewarding dog to own n work despite them thinking their the brains of the operation most of the time.
  14. that would have meant him hauling his carcass off that quad n somehow i couldnt see that happening
  15. almost forgot he had a thing for `murder she wrote` n would sing the theme tune n bounce to it.... odd boy
