typical, After I have been watching 100`s of pinks coming into fields near me all last week but I couldnt get out then, I went this morning and not a one to be seen. Some grays flew over but in the distance. we have had snow in the area but not as much as the central belt areas but hardly any left on the ground and not to hard a frost. I suppose it is just your luck. Anyway still have a few days for decoying left and onto the shore for a couple of weeks in feb.

apart from the venues what else did the guide provide, decoys, hides, transport ??. I know that some guides feed splash ponds for the ducks but geese usually free range on stubble and grass. Most land owners want the geese moved off the fields and should not charge the guide for providing a service. The guide may provide the landowners with a bottle or two. In my opinion price should be agreed up front even if the locations change and no bag charge. fortunately for me I have free shooting (bottle of rum provided for permission) on land close to me. Up early on Saturday morning set out decoys and put up hide myself. 21 shots, 10 grays & 1 pink. I also have free shore access although I havent been on the shore this season yet.

Hi I have been looking at replacing my Franchi Harrier. I have seen a good condition second hand Beretta that suits my budget of under £800 but the fore stock and the butt stock appear to be a different colour. The fore stock is much lighter and I am thinking that this may be a mixed repair/ refurbished gun. The person selling it says this happens sometimes ?? I was told that the gun was around 20 years old. Is this something to expect ?? Very undecided as I can get a new Franchi for around the same price.

I am looking for a Franchi Harrier replacement stock or if anyone can recommend where I may be able to source one. The stock on my gun has a very bad crack which I believe to be beyond an economical repair. Cheers, BBL

Thanks for the comments. Sorry at the moment I am unable to take any decent photos of the crack but I think it may be beyond repair. I have and still am looking for replacement stocks but so far cant find anything in the UK only from the states so far at +$300 and shipping so I think that money would be better going to a new or nearly new replacement gun.

I have just found a crack on my Franchi harrier stock. Is it worth getting it repaired and can anyone tell me if I can get a replacement. Had the gun for 15 years and cost £630 new I am trying to justify the cost of repair against putting the money toward a new gun

I dont know if it is because I am from an older generation but I have always been a bit suspicious of downloading anything for free off the web, someone had to work on building the software package so why give it away are there any catches that you cant see ?? I can be at times an old and a bit cynical ******* but I may be wrong with this. Cheers for the info anyway

You mentioned Open Office, I take it is all compatible with word and my existing files when transferred over onto new laptop will work ok I only use the lap top for basic home office type of letter writing and some spread sheets photos & surfing the net. The mrs has all the house keeping stuff on Money which I think we still have the original codes for although may be out of date now. Thanks about the security info I will bare that in mind. Hi guys, My current lap top is slowly giving up so I am looking at getting a new one. I do not play games or watch movies, mostly used as a home office and surfing. My question is, as I currently have Notron security and MS office if I buy a new lap top are these transferable on to a new lap top. I have already backed up all my files onto an external hard drive will Norton & office also be transferred onto the drive so when I load them onto a new lap top I will have them. I dont know what lap top I am going for and what systems will come with it. but I dont want to be badgered into buying something by sales people for something I already have.
