  1. Thank you for your reply! I get exactly what your saying. No offence taken!
  2. I do totally agree with what your saying! If I get a spaniel Cocker/Springer it will be used for trialling and nothing else! like not coming ferreting etc. Should stated that in my first post! sorry about that! If I get a lurcher obviously its main job will be ferreting/lamping I just need to make the decision of what I would like to get! Thank you for your advice!
  3. Thank you for you reply! On David's website he has a page cocker puppies for sale at the moment there are none available.
  4. Hi lads, After visiting the vets with my springer who has enlarged heart, you may of known this if you have seen my last topic. She will not be able to work any more and has basically become a pet. My question is this- I'm not rushing into anything and I am taking the time to look about for the right pup/ breed for me. I have for sometime now been looking at cocker spaniels very much like the look of these little nippers! If i get another spaniel it will hopefully be used for trialling. The lines I have been looking are Rytex and Buccleugh I am willing to travel, if anybody knows of any good lines out there please suggest them to me! But then there's the other side iv'e been turning to and that's lurcher's as I do a lot of ferreting a dog like that could become of some use! Having never owned one I do not know what to expect, there are a few that have taken my fancy for example Saluki x Greyhound x Whippet and Saluki x Collie x Whippet x Greyhound. If anyone would like to make some suggestions please do! Thanks a lot Lewis
  5. I'm still in the dark, wont know a thing till I see the cardio vet, I think the name of the vet is Chris Burton. Other symptoms lack of energy/stamina, random panting. Cheers mate I hope so! Sorry to hear that!hope he/she is ok!let us know how it goes on! good luck. Thanks a lot mate!!
  6. Thanks lads, yeah definitely heart wrenching was hard keeping myself together in the vets. just have to wait and see what the cardio vet says. thanks again!
  7. Well today was the third trip to the vets for my 2 year old springer spaniel. Each time saying it was kennel cough, they have now x-rayed her and found her heart is 12inches as opposed to 8inches where it should be. She has been referred to a Cardiologist who is going to tell us what has the caused this or if she was born like it, I am expecting the worse. So it looks like my season is well and truly over before it has even started.
  8. To every one!! Thanks a lot for all the info! Reason I ask is I've been Ill and once I recovered the dog came down with a bug and all training and work came to a stand still but we both ready to go now! And ive been offered some beating so I want to get her fit as a flea!! Once again cheers lads! Lewis
  9. Hi Lads, What's the best sort of fitness and stamina training? thanks a lot! Lewis
  10. Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone on here can tell me where I can buy MK1 collars? ebay hasn't got any. all suggestions welcome! Thanks Lewis
  11. I have been considering it, i have got room for the pups and a lot of spare time But I know what you are saying I definitely do not want dead pups on my hands! I think I will most likely go down the route of spaying. Thanks
  12. Thank you for your reply! I Have been reading up about that!! Ideally I would like to have one litter and then get spayed.
  13. H everyone, My spaniel is having a phantom pregnancy and I'm going down that route were I'm not sure of what I want to do either breed her in her next season or get her spay. I haven't bred dogs before, so I do need to do a lot of research before I consider mating her! The man I brought her from said if I do consider breeding her he will line up a stud for her, but I guess that's the easy part! Please can people give me some advice, it would be very much appreciated! About both spaying or breeding! Thank Lewis
