  1. Great bag fella. I'm sure the wee man enjoyed his day. Unfortunately when I was his age I had to do all the retrieving & didn't have the chance to dispatch the wounded with an airgun.
  2. Would make a great photo for the wall. Brilliant!!!
  3. Nice sales pitch regarding the Woodcock Paypal payment for the net fronted one has just been sent. I will PM you the address for postage. Cheers
  4. Some great shooting there again, enjoyed that.
  5. Hi Teal, Any of the gamebags left? I think I could do with a new one for the new season. Cheers,
  6. Good shooting again. The countryside you shoot is very flat, a bit different to what I'm used to!!!
  7. You need cold weather in the scandanevian countries & russia etc to move them on. End of October moon you may get some, but the bulk of birds will probably be the end of November. As Jdog said, sometimes they are there and sometimes they aren't. We are quite lucky where we live (North East corner of Ireland) that we get the birds as they come in as our shoot is on the shore. However, last year was terrible and I think the birds flew on inland when they arrived. Can't guarantee wild quarry and that is part of the beauty of woodcock. Looking forward to the first influx of them again.
  8. Good to have your reports again. Keep them coming.

    SJ4000

Yeah I have the SJ 1000 and I use it on a gopro head strap. Be careful as there are some fakes out there.
  10. They have a vintage machine that they use to cut it & ties it. They then stook them by hand. Fair play to them, they do it every year. Cheers fella.
  11. Love your vids mate. Some cracking high birds in that. Cheers.
  12. Another great video & good bag. Just subscribed to your channel, keep the vids coming!!!
  13. They do this every year in this field or one close to it. They make a video of the thrashing & all the proceeds from the corn goes to cancer research. Here is my video from last year in the same field: http://youtu.be/mV87LJaiiXQ
  14. It was cranners lol. She is mainly a house dog now so a bit of work & she is wrecked!!!!
  15. Well lads, here is another video, probably my last decoy outing for the year, on corn stubble. We had a decent outing shooting 63 mixed corvids, 1 magpie & 11 pigeons. Stay tuned until the end to see a funny clip of my spaniel dawn. This was dawns first ever outing in a hide, she has always been used as a rough shooting dog & she is semi retired due to a bad leg. So she isn't a perfect hide dog by any means. Please subscribe to my channel & post any comments: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCdXL__oYvbmKo0Ccm-vWRfw
  16. I haven't noticed thus far, I would imagine they might not get through the mincing attachment. Perhaps it's because all my pigeons are shot in the head
  17. Good video fella. Nice & clear video and good shooting also. I look forward to seeing roost shooting videos, I love roost shooting, but only got an opportunity to take 1 video last year. Keep the vids coming.

    SJ4000

A nice day for the video bazza. Video quality is great on that. I am happy with the 1000, I just think it's very big, the 4000 looks a bit smaller & lighter.
  19. Since my last post I have accumulated 235 woodpigeon. New total: 8935
  20. I sent a pm about the rangefinder.
  21. How often would you do this? I bought some flocked full body crow decoys at the start of the year and they are already looking a bit worse for wear. Maybe give them a facelift over the winter.

    SJ4000

Make sure you post some footage when you get using it. The camera I use on my videos is the SJ 1000 and it's been very reliable, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the 4000. Did you get the wifi enabled version?
