well I went yesterday afternoon for 2 hours just to see if I could still cast. tied on a brown & green nymph a friend at the gun club tied for me .started to get follows added some lead had take next cast. ended the day with 3stockie browns and 1 good rainbow.could only get takes at the end of the lift off.everybody else seemed to be float fishing.lol.

so is there anybody willing to tie me some leaded version of firdom`s recipe?

yep its that dozen flies I want in my box.

would really appreciate it.i know there are plenty of modern flies that catch.but these really worked on are local waters.plus now I have started this quest. I really want to get it right.cheers.

found out today this fly was designed in the late 60`s if this helps.

you won`t go wrong with the mk70.as long as it fits you.go for it.

yes that's the one don't know how you can tell how much lead to put on unless someone has the old instructions.but thanks for the help.over to the fly tiers now.

that sounds like the one we used to catch on them even when they where old and tatty.

hi all thinking of taking up fly fishing after 30 year break.WE used to have a lot of success with a Gordon Frasier brown and green leaded nymph.have searched on line can`t find anything.can anyone find the pattern and tie me some.would like some in my box as a confidence booster.pm me price.cheers.

found out today my local clay club.Raunds gun club has been broken into again this week and they have taken all the good traps even the fixed one`s from the skeet house`s these where built over 35 years ago.now we are left with nothing and 10 000 pound bill to replace.dont know if we can come back from this?? gutted so if any other clubs are offerd cheap traps let us know.

noticed today top pin hanging out after firing don't know if they have always done this or just started?Not had any problem with misfire`s or anything.should I get it checked or is it normal?
