  1. Bill I sold it to a lad in Durham, recon it would be a good 20 years ago as far as I know he still has it .
  2. Bill I forgot I have been fortunate enough to have owned and used one of Stanley Duncan’s old guns, it was a William ford chamberless 10ga effectively an 8g it was engraved with pongo his dog and him punting on the Humber bit of a rubbish photo but the best I have on my phone
  3. Bill same as you been collecting bits and bobs all my shooting life, and bought the first item over 4 decades ago. I Still have it including a lovely letter from you a few years back with pinks flighting on the page thanking me for I think a 4 bore shell ? All the big guns have gone but still got a fair collection of memorabilia / cartridges etc only recently moving it to a bigger room and I have started buying stuff again . My son who was a young wildfowler has no interest in it at all so it looks like when i hang my waders up and go it will all be sold or thrown into the skip !
  4. Richard still got thousands here at fighting from inland, some have slipped over to the Humber but anything from 2-5k have been flighting daily since the start of the month... Will start loosing them now most of the stubbles are worked up, time to get the motor packed and head north,
  5. New photon xt arrived today from Thomas jacks (warranty claim) so unused plus a doubler and adaptor two months old from scott country along with the proper the Yukon photon st 30 mount all in cost me £600 would take £400 plus postage was going to refit it today to my rifle but an archer add on has come available so im going to go down that route for foxing instead.
  6. Terror is the way forward mate
  7. I sold my right for other reasons than just kent arriving , and did you not get notifications like the rest of the common right holders where it clearly states how including the case in black and white from the council how wild spaces fund got in whos ******* up whos back DNT
  8. DNT you say your association is protecting shooting well I have to disagree there, in this instance as anyone can see whats going to happen . Your club has highlighted that anyone can sell a share of common rights to a club albeit masquerading as a conservation body, Even sub let as in the case of davies v davies which has been brought to light with your actions, how long do you think it will take for other clubs to realise that they can buy a 1/4 share of a right down there and have it as a club marsh eh ? I can see it all happening and going tits up as who says any other club will only let one man per day on the marsh ? as long as they don't exceed their quota of birds and where does it say hard and fast what that is in numbers just says a fair share ? I recon this will result in N/E consents and restrictions being brought where we had none ! I don't particularly like the way your club works and how it muscles in on other areas or marshes and that has had a direct effect on me as I sold my rights as a consequence to you being there. But on the other hand I admire what you are doing for your members and maybe if I were in your club I would be singing from a different hymn sheet !
  9. Infact if you go down the route of the Davies vs Davies case that has been brought to light by kents actions theres nothing to top me buing the rights myself and sub letting to 5 clubs and remaining the owner now that's a thought eh ?
  10. Boyd does it really matter anymore down there ? they have hardly won the golden goose marsh have they ! Kent are in now and to be honest if they are true to their word and only have one man on the marsh per day I cant see much difference it will make to a area which is a shadow of its former self. More disturbing I would have thought for the locals and resident club members is now the opportunity for other clubs to follow suit , I recently sold my rights down there and since been offered a full right and a quarter share which could effectively place another 5 clubs shooting the same area and more clubs buying rights off other people down there wanting a piece of the action and whats to stop them absolutely nothing like kent has showed .
  11. How about me ? I Would rather not answer you as i feel its a waste of time and energy on somebody i couldn't give a toss about anyway! so same as you end of convesation
  12. Thank you for that compliment
  13. You can call me a bore if you like paul iv been called a lot worse I find it quite amusing and its not the first time but again jelous kids will be jelous kids, I have a cracker of a name for you but ill save that for a special occasion when im not so busy, at least Im not boring as you with your continual jealousy and swipes at people that have better or get off their fat **** and get shooting rather than continually snivel and moan at people that actually make thing happen for themselves have a nice day matey im off to feed my ponds
  14. Panama It appears I will have to give you this one and yes you are right the days are numbered of the exclusive clubs infact I think faster than they realise, but let me put you straight on one thing I have never been in an exclusive club in my life I bought the right to shoot at brancaster/holkham same as you or any other man could have done if they really wanted too. I have had the best of it there seen the big numbers of geese dwindle through "perhaps" the likes of me and others over shooting a marsh which was good because for years it never got much pressure or attention. Then the outsiders/me arrived coupled with the lack of sugar beet fields and now the early working up of the land of remaining beet fields, plus the natural england reserve at the rear which were always un shot are now shot so hardly anything goes in there anymore Don't get me wrong I will still shoot down there if I get the chance as a club member with whatever club, but I can sit back and be happy that I had some fantastic sport down in the the early days which the likes I fear I will never see again through even more pressure but with the sale of my rights it didn't cost me a penny and even cost me less than £300 in local club subs in around the 9 years I held the rights so was I really that naïve and not forward thinking Panama while your rome burned ?
  15. Jono 4 the job is knackered now as you know the shooting it has been dropping off for a number of years and is a shadow of its former self , myself and jim sold our rights last week to recover our costs and since then I know of three more for sale from people who are ditching them all because of Kents actions, I have also heard on the grapevine that more clubs will follow in Kents footsteps so if you want to shoot it you may as well be in a club. Its a ****** for people who have enjoyed the solitude down there and on many occasions In the past I have been on my lonesome with up to 40.000 geese coming off on area where as now you would be lucky at its peak getting 1500 with a few hundred being the norm ! it is still a nice place to shoot though if you can put up with the regular antis and general public who sneer at you and on occasions you can have a good do but with whats going on now you may as well be in a club for the fraction of the cost! I don't like A Jarret or kents morals and how the tread on peoples toes and take or try and take over peoples shooting but in a changing world wildfowling is getting harder my own clubs up north are battling with consents etc everything is getting tighter so do Kent have the right idea ? in the end if the Kent machine keeps rolling we may all have to be members of it !!!!! I also heard whether true or not that they have designs on other North Norfolk marshes so if I join kent who knows I may be able to shoot your marsh Anser 2 where as now it is prohibited to outsiders ??
  16. It dosnt matter because there is nothing to stop them shooting it under wildspacers fund had confirmation today from council,
  17. Im not much cop at it mudpattern so a good call is quite wasted on me, you would be better viewing a basc video clip theres a bloke on there who blows calls as well as his own trumpet.
  18. Iv had one for a while cracking raspy call a proper custom job not one that uses someone elses internals and masquerades as a custom call maker
  19. A friend of mine has owned a cased Holland and Holland double two bore shoulder gun for a fair number of years he also has a good number eley gastight 2 ga shells to go with it. Be worth a few quid now !
  20. Well no measured DNT/ Kent reply or response to that revelation jono 4 so it must be true !
  21. As another member said jokingly " coming to a marsh near you soon" did I hear right the number of guns out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Myself and and everybody may as well **** into the wind on this thread or any other if your looking for a solid answer to any direct question asked of kent, and to be fair its nothing that any other club would do in the same situation. Partly they are doing nothing that I/ us have done ie outsiders buying common rights but its the way they look to be or are twisting the the right for the benefit of all their club members which is totally wrong and I fear will have dire effect for the area because where does it stop ? if kent get their way through a tecnicality their is nothing to stop me or 10 or more right holders or more selling there shares to any club for the benefit of their membersto use which will lead to over more over shooting. Kent have the right idea in principle and they should be applauded for it but not at the expense of others if they were in their own county well fair do's but their not and are putting the backs up of a lot of clubs country wide with their actions. I can see a major pull to with wildfowling clubs in the future to stop kent and their selfish actions and I would welcome that, a number of clubs working together pooling resources and forgetting basc which to my mind looks compromised with AJ as the chairman and his links to kent. So a kind of new born wagbi if you like but with like minded fowlers and not ones on a greedy land grab mission
  23. So Alan / Dnt or whoever you are does your last statement mean I wont get an honest answer to my last post ?
  24. Dnt So what you are a saying is the right you bought as a quarter share means there will only be one kent wildfowler on the marsh at any one time ? if so that is fair and I have no problem with that what so ever and I cant see that anyone else will , But who will you be naming on the share ? because the wildspaces fund doesn't sound like a person to me, I think if Kent were a bit more receptive to questions or your motives were more transparent with other common right holders especially the ones that have invested a lot of money to be on the marsh there might not be as much hostility well especially from me anyway.
