  2. A local farmer has just called to say he has a problem with rooks and crows on some bean drillings and just before i go and paint £40 worth of perfectly good pigeon decoys black does anyone have tips or tricks for this. Regards Crapshot
  3. mahmood, i would recomend Le Cross boots you can buy them from www.cabelas.com and they are about $60 + $20 shipping but a boot like this in the UK would cost about £180. Crapshot

  5. Grousedog, where abouts in michigan are your from as i have a friend who lives in cold water in branch county. As for shooting over pointers and alike we have field trails on our syndicate shoot later on in the season in the midlands if that is any good to you. East Midlands Airport is about 20 min drive from the shoot. Crapshot
  6. .22 rimfire, head shot will drop a fox like a stone at much further than 40 yards i have seen it done many times. Crapshot
  7. 22740 ! your pc must be slower than mine. :(
  8. Gents, have any of you visited www.shootingtimes.co.uk it has some realy good pigeon recipes on there and a pretty good duck shooting game (i only get as far as level 3) if you have time to waste. Crapshot
  9. Hammergun, looking at the photo the rabbit doesn't look too bad to me. The bunny's i have shot with mixy have almost closed eyes, scruffy fur and smell pretty bad too. Is this a young bunny just developing mixy ? I hope i haven't been eating mixy bunny's :*)
  10. This looks very similar to a patch ball muzzle loading rifle my farther has. Q. further down the barrel are the sights set at 25,50 and 75 ? Crapshot
  11. William, I also have the Silver Pigeon II in 12g and it is the best gun i have ever owned. Mrs Crapshot shoots with the Beretta Whitewing which is a 20g and very, very light and at about £400 cheaper (new) maybe worth a look if you are interested in a 20g. Crapshot
  12. Trigga, I didn’t mean to offend you I was just trying to make a point, and reading back over my last post it does sound a bit childish. And reading back over your post I think I misinterpreted what you were trying to say. Crapshot
  13. I am totally amazed at the above comments. I personally would like to thank Bill for taking the time to talk to us about his sport as it is always interesting to see how things are done in different countries and it really does sound quite exciting. Some of you may also be a bit upset to hear I shot a fluffy red fox last week and I didn’t even do it for food I did it purely for sport and number control. Which one saddens you more ? Crapshot
  14. PP, i also shoot with both sbs and o/u but favour my sbs although i do not shoot aswell with it as i do my o/u. I also found that going from a o/u to a sbs i was missing a shocking amount of birds and found the problem the gun being quite light and jumping around a bit. So to rectify this i just shoot at the feet and it seems to work a treat. Crapshot
  15. Columbus, i think it is a penny for every shot, so it is a £10 donation per 1000 which makes the cartridges £115 per 1000 including delivery which i think is not too much for a one off purchase. Dig deep gents ! Crapshot
