  1. I know this is a long shot, but is this gun still for sale?
  2. New or second-hand, my brother thinking of buying g a bettinsoli, what are lanber like? Any other suggestions, he want an o/u game 12 bore preferably multi choke and fit for steel etc.
  3. Does anyone feed it to pheasants, and what does it look like, any pics?? I have half ton to try but looks a bit dusty and worried it might block in springs and Wright feeders in winter. I am in a club run in our spare time, so it is essential feeders do not block regularly. I will post pic tomorrow.

  5. Folks, Just wondering what make and models people are using and pros and cons of each. Thinking about getting one, dont want to spend a fortune but dont want something cheap that is useless either.
  6. Tawnys are not native to Ireland so I wud rule that out. Although there was the first recorded sighting in 2013 in co. Down (castleward). They reckon it was blew off course in storms??? Sound like a real threat though. Still no more casualties, we are having the best weather of year so far over here, great week to release birds. 7. Thanks for replies guys.this happened two days after we put the poults into our release pen in the wood. We buy our poults 7wks old, clip one wing and the pens are not covered. Fortunately, this has been the only casualty so my initial fear that the culprit was gonna wreak havvic has not materialised. 3 mags were shot at edge of pen next morning, maybe the poult was dead and the mags or other poults stripped it......but the head??? Fingers crossed for the next few weeks!
  8. Thanks for replies. Is crows any good for diversionary feeding
  9. Just figuring out how to upload pics *** so apologies for the abruptness of the previous post, hopefully I get the gist, my thoughts are a buzzards, picking meat clean, no broken bones......but head gone too????
  10. Thanks for all the replies. Ours is a DIY shoot so we are all part time. checking the pens and feeders around pen each night an then big feed and check outer feeders on a sat. The springs are blocking with wheat and chaff, real pain. I have made a few wright type feeders out of bean tins so gonna give those a trial this weekend. I think we are gonna have to do something to remove the chaff a suggested.
  11. As topic title suggests, it's a pain in the ***. Any tips?
  12. Thanks. It is a very small 'hole' and there are no ducks coming yet, trying to entice a few but bit pessimistic about my chance, or do they have an uncanny way of finding it even if it not a regular place for them to feed? If they start clearing it I will get some proper barley or wheat.
