  1. I have just Stain/oiled mine today the coverage on the tin was way out...... 28m sq on tin 🤣
  2. I don’t generally like the stuff (Used but since quitting the fags doesn’t have he same appeal) but have a manual Espresso machine a gaggia classic (used ones are shooting up in value at the moment) and a decent grinder but just bought a mate an Aeropress which if you like straight black coffee short or long is well worth £25 some great offers on right now for an Aeropress and some top coffee https://ravecoffee.co.uk/products/aeropress-gift-set 15% off code https://www.origincoffee.co.uk/collections/brewing-equipment/products/aeropress?variant=20976999623 20% offer but out of stock right now for capsules try these https://cliftoncoffee.co.uk/shop/coffee/blends/village-capsules/ bought some for a mate and he thinks they are great.
  3. You can go fishing in Wales and play golf.... you cannot drive to do either so if you live walking spdistnace from the golf course you can play a full round.... if you can walk to the river you can fish, if you are a disabled golfer/fisherman you may be able to drive as long as the drive is short......
  4. Anyone else into making coffee? I generally can’t stand it but SWMBO was really missing the dish water from the works canteen so I’m making 3-4 a day....some good offers on freshly roasted coffee and some idea to help you make it at home if you don’t have all the gear. Or if you do well like me you can waste hours watching videos and trying to improve..... all for the response to be “tastes the same” 🤨 oh well keeps me occupied......
  5. ******.....should have got that rather then the stuff I bought from wilko......
  6. Saw unleaded under £1 a litre for the first time today.....Sainsbury’s....99.9 or 97.9 don’t recall no sign of diesel under £1...104.9... guess it’s going to start heading back up now 😔
  7. I know one gunsmith is open for appointments only from tomorrow surely asking RFD to take them on a commission sale basis would be most sensible agree a storage transaction fee that way if another club member ever wants to buy them the seller can agree a price and RFD gets a fee for their time/trouble. Guns are signed over to RFD for liscencing but still legally belong to owner. If RFD seems them the owner gets agreed value.
  8. Wiring would be a challenge at the moment
  9. Good too see your still posting.....still into moody timepieces? Do you have one? The wiring puts the price up as does MIL insistence on covering the grass with bird seed regularly..... how does it cope with dog mines? I’ll take a look but they ones I looked at started at £700 and need guide wires tricky...... £550 https://www.flymo.com/uk/product/robotics/1200r/967645003.html it’s the cheapest too https://www.flymo.com/uk/products/lawn-mowers/robotics/
  10. That was my first suggestion and they start at over £700? Also have a dog and cat to contend with....might have another look at them
  11. Battery? I’ll take a look thanks
  12. Makita do a self propelled and its variable speed which the Stihl isn’t 😔 https://www.makitauk.com/product/dlm462z.html so it’s looking like makita or husqvarna but both are more than double the price of a petrol unit from cobra (are cobra mowers any good or a receipe for trouble? As even if a decent warranty no way would they be able to put it in the car and take it for repairs currently.
  13. This seems good value electric start variable speed (single speed is a concern if too fast ) but a much bigger heavier machine https://www.justlawnmowers.co.uk/cobra-mx534spce-variable-4-speed-electric-start-self-propelled-petrol-lawn-mower.html
  14. Thy are only available as push? Also he has no batteries so would need to buy them and charger
  15. Makita a might be an option. Depends how heavy the stihl and husqvarna batteries are in comparison. Also how many cuts per charge/charges per cut..... Current front runner if already pushing budget are: https://www.frjonesandson.co.uk/products/stihl-rma-443-tc-battery-wheeled-lawn-mower-41cm-cut/stihl-rma-443-tc-battery-wheeled-lawn-mower-41cm-cut-options-kit-with-battery-charger/ https://www.frjonesandson.co.uk/products/husqvarna-lc-141iv-battery-self-propelled-four-wheeled-lawn-mower-41cm-cut-2/husqvarna-lc-141iv-battery-self-propelled-four-wheeled-lawn-mower-41cm-cut-kit-with-battery-charger/
  16. Being in lockdown has made this tricky, the in-laws (who are shielding) have a lawn issue, they used to have a young man come and cut the grass, I would also do it when visiting, however I cannot currently visit, and young man is not allowed (by his mother) to cut the lawn. They have a push Mountfield rotary mower (petrol, pull start) older but does ok, however this is too heavy for them to easily use and they find it very hard to start. So as a stop gap we got them a cheap flymo from Argos (quick hassle free delivery) and while it is sort of keeping the grass down it’s not doing a great job. FIL has a birthday coming up so I have been tasked with finding a mower.... HIs wish list: powered, electric start. Now I’m thinking by the time you make it powered and electric start it’s going to be heavy and costly and lawn isn’t that big. Electric is a pain but new battery type could be an option if it’s not too heavy has enough power and can easily be charged removing battery to charge could be an issue and shed current mower lives in has no power supply, only option probably to keep it in garage. so any recommendations for a power mower either battery or electric start petrol and ideally under £500 Honda or Stihl (my dad has a husqvarna mower which is great but a Honda motor) are my go to for proper garden gear (Bosch for electric as my garden is small I have Bosch mower (newer ones not as good as older), hedge cutter and blower (meh) so anyone got a shiny new mower that fits the brief? Battery is my thinking but am I wrong? And what brand? Are stihl/Honda etc still the go to?
  17. Anyone got a piston for a HW45 😩
  18. All sorted for now....anyone got a rear sight for a HW45?
  19. Plenty on eBay tempted to get one for trailer tyres have a spare in the car as been caught out before with a Hole in side wall......

    Electric Fence

Yes that will be the fencing transformer/controller some are set output pretty basic, others have quite sophisticated control

    Electric Fence

12v is the input (some are 230v transformers) they then ramp it up and pulse at 8kV+ but very very low current. I’ve used them and had a belt off them for fencing horses many times..... work out the distance you need to fence, the number of strands and then you know the wire length. M of fence x no of strands. https://www.gallagher.eu/en_gb/compose
  22. My shed isn’t a growbag kind of shed......🤔 I have some sand and a card board box or 3......
  23. I know the legal limits 😉 but it’s a co2 so probably more like 2-3ft/lbs it’s the “penetration” I was asking about......
  24. So a 586 arrived today 🤗 looks great waiting on some co2..... are there any gallery style knock down targets that are quiet? Might try and rig something in the shed as los places seem to be sold out.....😜 how much penetration do you get from a 586, I’m guessing a lot less than the hw95 I have?
