  1. China? Mozambique? EU rules EU contractors..... Russia aren’t EU so wouldn’t be allowed to under procurement rules. It’s a global market for supply and demand the details of the tender will be out there if you want to read but govt procurement is an incredible beast of paperwork, rules and regs.

  3. What’s “sensible” http://www.ssangyonggb.co.uk/news/ssangyong-launches-rexton-cse-van-with-new-22-litre-euro-6-diesel-engine/22131
  4. Safety on a rifle works differently on most to a shotgun shotgun typically locks the trigger, not the pin. Normally on a rifle safety will lock the pin, can still fail, sounds like someone was very very lucky. persoanlly don’t like auto safety, if it’s not safe to fire break it....unload it. only possible reason is walked up shooting when safety should be on and muzzles pointing safe.
  5. Why on God’s green earth did he have a loaded gun in car? Unnacceptle imo safety on or off an unloaded gun cannot fire.

Try uk gun repairs in Somerset they were sold as BSA also nice guns I have one fortunately stock just needed refinishing.
  7. There are some 4x4 commercial factory jobs great if you only need 2 seats. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/ssangyong/rexton-w-cs would a transit/vivaro/transporter crew can not fit the bill? Just become a caravan club member? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201708158370364?body-type=Window Van&sort=sponsored-supplied&radius=1501&model=VITO&make=MERCEDES-BENZ&advertising-location=at_vans&postcode=bh49jh&page=1
  8. I tried a recip on some heavy flooring rubber used for stables wasn’t great Stanley blade and keep scoring and bending was the best but hard work and slow. Tyre watch out for the banding.....
  9. Erm there’s a really nice one in Cwmbran gun shop uk or some such https://####.co.uk/ that close enough? Or there are a few tackle shops that sell air guns in Caerphilly not sure if full RFD.
  10. I think hunting licence is quite stringent and the pistol for dispatch is mandatory when hiuting live pray? like most countries they restrict the use more than the item....... tests exams etc all required before one can legally hunt. Owning a firearm and being able to use one legally are different classes I think
  11. You will pay duty typically 5% vat at 20% on goods and carriage and a fee to the shipper this end for processing the vat i don’t believe they are restricted as firearms but check the guidance as they are specifically excluded other wise every nail gun in the uk would be on FAC and they aren't (at one point some were?) (ring customs and ask they will know better than an FEO)
  12. 10years old register articles are the best source of info Closed-circuit television (CCTV) system operators would need exceptional justification for recording sound as well as video, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has warned. transactions at counters in gun shops probably covered.......... in a the cereal aisle at Tesco maybe not, at a furniture warehouses probably not, in office corridors probably not in a public car park probably not but any transactional counter, bank, post office petrol station etc I would expect the justification to be there........... Try here for info: https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-data-protection/encryption/scenarios/audio-recordings/
  13. Not on a proper commercial cctv system with warnings etc this is a gun shop after all
  14. But if it comes back as nothing wrong???
  15. Consumer law is just that retailer is there as the “professional” the you have rights but probably not worth testing them but if you and importer are confident then stand firm but be ready to go to court very very easy for him to file papers in small claims
  16. Ocean currents tend to take the plastic away from Europe and it gathers in huge islands elsewhere in the world and washes up on beaches elsewhere just like carbon and other issues it’s a global problem not a local one so what we do is important but getting the rest of the planet to do likewise is the issue....... not that hat we are doing the best or are a real leading light through history......
  17. Tricky one as retailer his contract is with you not the manufacturer and retail rules pertain. Look up the latest legislation and ensure you are on the right side of what is what. Very very unlikely he has spoken to trading standards but if he has just ask for the details of the representative and that his request for a refund (this isn’t distance selling remember) needs to be put in writing. If your a gun trade association member or similar check there guidance to. The certificate thing is his own fault perhaps make sure there is a sign saying that no gun will be released with the original certificate being present to cover any future incidents. https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-rights-act was it returned within 30days as “faulty”
  18. Empty carts are recyclable there is a firm that specialise in just that! http://www.rcbaker.co.uk/services?title=recycling-spent-shotgun-cartridges hoping plant fibre based wads which degrade in a few months of uv and air are a success
  19. Some of the sri models came on 20” rims ultra low profile and awful ride..... swap to the smaller wheels 16” maybe? Also check the type of tyres and that they are on he right size before changing not unknown for people to change the tyres to cheaper ones and effect the handling and rides (changing the wheel will do this also) https://www.drivevauxhall.co.uk/news/wheel-options-with-the-vauxhall-insignia/13974/newsdetail.aspx
  20. Scrap men don’t make money offering good prices for cars I had an Astra was offered £240 scrap told the chap to do one as the gearbox was worth £800 minimum... “bring it down we’ll see what we can do” part ex’d it for £400 a couple of years later gearboC was still ok but turbo was starting to go so wanted rid could have broken for more but I didn’t have space or inclination to do so. id kept it running with some used parts and expensive trips to the garage it was a 55 plate and only done 120k in the end but no one wanted it. still see plenty of older motors around but when it comes to selling no one wants them.....
  21. If they were loaned for 2012 they could be loaned for 2022...... I forgot Manchester used Bisley where are they doing the sailing? Not many Olympic sailing venues in Birmingham.......
  22. Incredible what on earth are our supposed sporting bodies doing closest venue 130 miles away (that wasn’t used for the olympics so how is it Olympic standard?) and there are plenty of MoD sites closer that could have used the 2012 set up..... It was thought unlikely that it would be included as part of Birmingham's plans as the closest Olympic-standard shooting range to the city is 130 miles away in Bisley in Surrey. The International Shooting Sport Federation and British Shooting had both claimed earlier this year that the sport should be contested at the 2022 Games.
  23. Interesting I have wide feet and find the Aigle fitted great but they are half a size larger I think 10.5 rather than usual 10 I think
  24. Isn't it up by the M54 never been but there is a hollybush garden centre that way, used to get tropical fish there many moons ago. Not too far away is cross guns (Kinver) cannon clays (Halesowen) and a few more not sure on Xmas opening times edit may be confusing it with mill ride? http://www.millride-country-sports.co.uk/clay-pigeon-shooting.html
  25. You can buy a whole B25 with 26" tubes cheaper.... https://www.guntrader.uk/Guns-For-Sale/results/a967-68f8-641f-8b89 or pay more for B525...https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/shotguns/browning/over-under/12-gauge/b525-grade-1-171203073916002
