  1. Looks like you have most of them in our area . I shoot at Gosport and Wallers alternately , with a spitfire visit on occasion Three counties - Basingstoke run by Duncan at chalky hill owls lodge near bullington cross . Never been but looks smart . spitfire at Stockbridge .
  2. Been there many times , good set up, clean and tidy. Cartridges are for sale , and guns are available to hire. Prices are fairly good , around 30 pr clay , with a pay and play card system. would recommend . also if memory serves, there’s a good ( but not cheap) cafe in the high st in Stockbridge. Or a good pub on the roundabout , I think it’s called the white hart.
  3. Good morning all . I have the opportunity to purchase a Oris aquis date watch , and would value the forums opinion of the watch /brand . Anyone own one ? Thanks

  5. Hello all , I've had my defender stolen , parked up Sunday afternoon, just been to collect it and gone . It's a 96 , 300 tdi, van . Gutted does not describe the feeling. The question is this , whilst I had shooting kit in the back , boots , jacket , ear defenders, game bag and numerous other kit , I stupidly left my shotgun licence in the pocket of the bag . I don't need advice of what to do to the people who stole it , i.e. A good kicking, but advice on reporting the theft of the licence . Any thoughts please ?

Been there, seen it, done it,cut the bits off that didn't work afterwards. also one of the most prolific charity fundraisers in the country as well. the wife met him for a documentary interview a couple of months ago , and said he is a very nice , down to earth bloke. Would love to just sit down with a brew and discuss his travels.
  9. Hello all, I am toying with making an offer on a small piece of woodland near me. it is approx 2 acres. The woodland is semi mature beech. It has road access. its a bit run down , and will require new fencing to full surround. it is currently part of a larger plot 31 1/2 acres, but it has the whole or lots option. The question is , how much to offer ?

  15. Hello all , Sorry for the delay in replying , Latest is that breathing has improved , not brilliant but definetly better , not grabbing for air as much, also more relaxed. Tried a anti histamine as suggested by Zapp, but to no avail.(really zonked me out ,but thanks anyway) Doc has taken a series of blood for testing( a lot actually)for under active thyroid /allergy/possible poisoning at work/anemia/iron deficiency. Another visit due to docs next friday, he is still sure it is stress related. And beta blockers are horrible, never felt so washed out. Thanks for all your concern and advice . Stocky.
  16. many thanks for the kind replies 1 and all , am back to the docs tomorrow at 9.30. The shortness of breath is constant, with the occasional " grab " at more air when i think about it. I am also yawning a lot more! have found no improvement with the tablets as yet but its only been a couple of days. one thing i have neglected to mention with my work is the hours that i do , Between 50 and 65 on an average week, rising to 80+ in busy times , this obviously may be a strong factor. One thing i am currently looking into is the possibility of Anemia/ iron deficiency, and will mention it to the doc tomorrow. Once again thank you all for your kind words and excellent advice. Stocky.

  19. Hello all, Just a quick question, I have had shortness of breath for about ten days now .I have had no chest pain or discomfort, no sharp pains or chest injurys .no cold or flu syptoms. i am 35 , pretty fit , with an active job ( slinger banksman/crane supervisor/carpenter)on portable accomodation. The job is fairly stressfull with a lot of tight deadlines to meet. I have spoke to my doc and he seems to think it is stress related. I have started taking some tablets (beta blockers) but no change so far . Any ideas ? sometimes it is genuinely difficult to get a breath !!
