  1. The only consolation after watching that circus, is that there is someone there in a white coat to take the moron away.
  2. Extract from the R V Belfield sentencing, from the link posted above. "Summary of sentences 55. I will now summarise my sentences. For Count 5 concerning Mr Keith, 2 years 6 months imprisonment. For Count 6 concerning Mr Hewis, 2 years 6 months imprisonment to be served consecutively to Count 5. For Count 7 concerning Mr Dehaney, 13 weeks imprisonment to be served consecutively to Count 6. For Count 8 concerning Mr Vine, 13 weeks imprisonment to be served consecutively to Count 7. 56. This amounts to a total of 5 years and 26 weeks imprisonment. This is the shortest sentence commensurate with the seriousness of your offences and application of the principle of totality. 57. You will serve up to one half of this sentence in custody. You will serve the remainder on licence. You must keep to the terms of your licence and commit no further offence or you will be liable to be recalled and you may then serve the rest of your sentence in custody." Note, "up to one half...", so its possible he could get out earlier and just have a longer "on licence" period.
  3. He is not going to prison for 5 years, its 2 years 6 months, the other half he will be out on licence. https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/R-v-Belfield-sentencing-160922.pdf , this was posted earlier in this thread, definitely worth reading and then think if 2 years 6 months in prison is enough.
  4. Its difficult to gauge the dimensions, but it could still be a fox, they do tend to leave smaller droppings. Cats normally at least attempt to bury their droppings.
  5. He is one seriously disturbed and potentially dangerous person.
  6. I have left corvids outside fox earths and they have never been eaten, I have seen remains near badgers setts, but never seen them actually eating one. They are also about the only things my ferrets would not eat.
  7. Top form as usual, another great watch. (I knew you were not going to shoot that rabbit 😉 ).
  8. It could be maggots, if the bird was left there for a week, in good weather. A corvid is smaller than this chicken,
  9. Some good shooting again, well done. I also thought it was nice to see a Gadwall, I have never shot one and am not sure if I have even seen one. I have to keep reminding myself that you are shooting over a lough, it looks just like the sea.🙂
  10. Great viewing, I really enjoyed that.👍 Its funny how so many farmyards look the same, stone walls, bales, odd lengths of plastic pipe, middens, etc., that could have been any of the loads I have shot on. Not with as much success as you have, I hastily add.🙂
  11. Having re read the sequence of posts you are probably right. However, it does beggar the question, what happens to all the livestock if we all turn into vegans or vegetarians ? I have always had meat free meals, including fish, other sea products and wholly vegetable dishes, but I can't imagine never eating meat.
  12. "The death of a few animals and insects will be inconsequential" Here are some facts, just a "few" animals ? www.statista.com 2021 numbers. 22.8 m lambs and sheep. 9.4m beef cattle 1.1m dairy cattle 4.76m pigs Too many chickens to count (incl domestic ownership)
  13. Great video and a good start to the season, I am looking forward to whats to follow. When the sun came up some of those insects .looked like ducks to my old eyes.🙂
  14. What a great story and pictures, I always enjoy your posts and please keep them coming.👍
  15. Excellent, I do like the chat, as well as Jack, the shooting, the views, etc. 🙂
  16. Great achievement, well done to you and your sponsors.
  17. Like many others on here, I remember the planned power cuts, 3 day week, petrol rationing, etc , etc in the past. My family all survived then, despite making no special arrangements. We will all survive again.
  18. uBlock is probably the best free one. I have used it without issues for years.
  19. I am with Giffgaff ( 02) and they do not permit "wifi calling", if I use free wifi to access my emails, etc., it counts against my data allowance and is chargeable. {[EDIT NOTE}] I think I can read my emails for free, but any replies are chargeable against data It seems that the providers that permit "wifi calling" are few and far between.
  20. We will be outside the UK/Eu area and visiting various International countries early next year, for some time. We will not be in any country long enough to buy a "burner", which we usually do for longer stays. My UK mobile roaming deal will be suspended and I will be paying for texts, calls and data on a varying tarrif per country. I do not want to risk incurring high charges from my service provider. It seems the best bet to avoid paying anything to my service provider, is to suspend mobile roaming, use free wifi in countries we visit and communicate with home via WhatsApp. Assuming I will not be able to access my emails via mobile, I can use my laptop to check/send those when required. Are my assumptions correct ? Are there any other/better options ?
  21. A new record......................................WONDERFUL .😒 Record number of migrants cross Channel in single day (msn.com)
  22. Top quality production and excellent shooting.👍
  23. Mine was a jacket including a small wallet containing SGC, fishing licences, Club membership (cardboard) cards, what a nightmare getting that lot replaced. 😒
  24. It must be post harvest time again, this topic (without the Welsh implications) comes up every year. I have never heard of anyone being successfully prosecuted for shooting GL vermin on stubbles.
  25. Excellent , as usual. 👍 "Things I do for you lot", 😄😄
