    Cute!

Cracking picture. I went upto one of my permissions for the first ever time in daylight on Tuesday and managed to call a decent sized fox into about 30yards. They are very nieve on the permission and the owners don't want them shot so I let him be, it was nice to see one in daylight at such close proximity, it looked in fine condition too.

    magpies

I have had a fair bit of success on them this past week (work has been called off due to the cold) I think the tally is now running at 11 since Sunday. Anyway, all I did was to get the first one (not an easy task) and lie him out in the open, 20 minutes later and the Magpies went bloody mental all sitting in the trees screaming there heads off, 3 shots later, 3 dead magpies and I have been doing the same everyday since with varying success. As others have said get hidden and stay hidden in my experience Magpies are incredibly clever birds if they see you they won't stick around and I have even noticed that they won't land for more than a couple of seconds in this particular area now as I am guessing they are beginning to associate it with danger.
  3. I can't stand liver or kidney but don't mind heart and tongue. I think the reason I don't like liver or kidneys is from being made to eat them when I was little, steak and kidney pie being one of my Dads favourite dishes so we used to have it alot. Put me off for life I reckon. I like heart but have been banned from eating it if I am going out with mates as it gives me the smelliest wind possible. I haven't had tongue in a while but I remember having it in france once (the first time I tried it) and it was amazing, I really wish I knew what they did to it to make it taste like it did.
  4. Really enjoyed looking at those pictures. Fantastic stuff.
  5. On my golf course permission I have been told by the owners and the greenkeepers that "I am not shooting for food here" so everything gets shot, I don't like doing it but if I don't then I will loose the permission. Its quite funny watching that video as to just how stupid young rabbits are though, I did have a chuckle when you shouted it at it and it didn't budge.
  6. They are brilliant lizards  . I would love something like that when I more room/time. A Boa would be amazing but I just couldn't justify keeping one at the moment, I have two nutty Parson Russells and this little fella (hes older than me!) keeping me occupied at the minute.
  7. Thats a HUGE snake. I used to have a Bearded Dragon but he passed away at the age of 10 last year. Still have the viv and have considered getting another or another species but he was irreplaceable so will probably just sell it. Would like to see pictures of your lizards if you have any.
  8. Brilliant write up and cracking pictures. Looks like a really nice place to spend the evening.
  9. Thanks for the tips.
  10. Thats brilliant. Thankyou. Have you tried a Tayberrie concoction or have any ideas how it will taste? Thanks again.
  11. Hi all. I have a Tayberrie bush in the garden and plan on making use of them this year in something other than Jam. I was thinking of adding them to either Gin or Vodka but have no idea where to begin or if it would even be drinkable. Has anyone done this before? Or does anyone have any idea on which would work better (Gin or Vodka) What would I need to do? Thanks in advance for any help.
  12. http://www.weberbbq.co.uk/ Never heard a bad word about them, not particularly big though..
  13. Cheers for the replys guys. I have been thinking about asking the other guy that shoots there occasionally if he wouldn't mind me tagging along just so he could point out safe backstops, shooting areas etc. I believe he uses 17HMR, 22hornet and a .243 but am unsure. I have spoken to him once and he seemed like a nice guy and gave me plenty of info about the land and some of the hot spots. Its worth a shot! Will see what he says and go from there. Thanks again.
