  4. I don't see those people blowing up buses though whatever there views may be
  5. Only the autos have EDC the manuals all have a mechanical fuel pump.
  6. You dont even need a screwdriver just hit it on top and they open http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64ljPBO--N8
  7. Have a look here mate http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/what-tires-can-i-put-my-disco-43706.html
  8. I suggest you read up on diff locks A centre difflock does not allow you to drive in 4wd on the road, when driving on the road the centre diff is unlocked but it is still in 4wd, locking the centre diff makes all wheels turn at the same speed, the jimny can lose all drive offroad by having one wheel spinning where as in the defender with the centre diff locked you would need 2 opposing wheels with no grip to lose drive this is where front and rear lockers help.
  9. People said the same about my TD5 defender when I got that and it's been brilliant, are the discos really that bad?
  10. These types of posts always make me laugh I've had my TD5 defender for 3 years and its done over 190,000 miles me putting 80,000 of those on it and in that time the only thing its needed other than normal servicing was a front propshaft which I broke when I whacked it on a rock. There not unreliable people abuse them and expect them to run forever with little to no maintenance.
  11. The insurance seems to be equivalent to the same aged disco 3, but reading online its seems the seats in the back are to small for adults to be comfortable so seems like the disco is winning at the moment.
  12. Am looking at getting a 06/07 pathfinder just after some opinions.
  13. I may be wrong, but would think it would need to be done by LR on a computer
  14. All early TD5's have plastic dowels defender and disco, many people have skimmed the heads on them successfully, my 2000 TD5 is on nearly 190,000 and still on the original head.
  15. I bet you're the kind of guy that would **** a person in the *** and not even have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach-around. I'll be watching you. ********. It looks to me like the best part of you ran down the crack of your mama's *** and ended up as a brown stain on the mattress.
  16. I have a 2000 TD5 which is now on 190,000 and still has it's original head although some of the early TD5's have head problems where they were fitted with plastic dowels and oil in the injector harness. but other than routine servicing mine hasn't cost me anything and it's nicer to drive than a tdi. Service parts are only a small amount more than that of the tdi's and I service mine at home easily enough.
  17. The 200/300 tdi's have cambelts and the TD5 has a chain.
  18. Looks good, although I'd paint the sump guard blue as well.
  19. Excellent, cheers mate, see you there.
