  1. I've got a Tikka T3 and a Sako 85; the Tikka is a good everyday rifle more than accurate enough for normal ranges and very reasonably priced, the Sako is just less than twice the price and for my money is worth every penny and then some. Even fitted with a Wildcat Predator 8 Mod it feels really stable on sticks or bipod and its accuracy is unquestionable.

    What to Wear?

I've been using the Jahti Jakt airtex prosuit for two years in all weathers and I've yet to be cold or wet, can't recommend it highly enough. As for boots I can only say stay well away from anything issued to our armed forces.
  3. I was most disappointed to discover that no squirrels were harmed in the making of these crisps. How can they know what squirrel tastes like if they don't harm a few squirrels occasionally. P03
  4. One of my many alter-egos is a scout leader and I have been tasked with setting up an air rifle range for our group. My question is directed at anyone who has first hand experience with the SMK Biathlon trainer......is it any good?? Ta in advance P03

    Pick up an AAS 510

It's lighter and better balanced than the 410, and it is easier to cock. I'm not convinced I like the side lever more than a bolt but I definately like the shrouded barrel. Accuracy wise, as you would expect from Air Arms, pellet on pellet at 30 yds. I'll try and put some pictures up.
  6. I was just browsing, picked it up, spent £665 (that was supposed to be for a .308).............and it was the best £665 I have ever spent. I love it.
  7. I'm there with 'She Who Must Be Obeyed (All Hail)' and 'Those who Must Be Beaten' on Sunday.
  8. pity you can't shoot it you may well have been doing it a kindness, the lump appears to be possibly an absess caused by tooth wear more than likely but am no expert I agree that it's probably an abcess. He's definately under weight, if you look carefully you can see his ribcage a cull buck if ever I saw one.
  9. I'm not sure "providing services" is the same as retailing goods....Still not sure it's theft though, sounds more like fraud to me. PS al4x please change your avatar it takes me twenty minutes to read one of your posts.......on second thoughts I've got plenty of time.
  10. No ******* Hobgoblin (it's a BEER) this year....I will strive to procure enough Venison to sate Pin's bloodlust as long as he brings some of his excellant pigeon marinade.....Oh and Pin....please bring your Rubiks tent...laugh, I almost sobered up.
  11. That's south-west ENGLAND.........we don't count you forn types
  12. I am guessing that all contestants will have a special licence and will only be allowed to carry the pistol in the venue where it is taken place with security around. then the rest of the time will be locked up in the police station. Yes...and then the permits will be revoked when the Games are finished.

    Petition

    Done with pleasure
  14. I was meaning that the police might of rushed a bit and could of negociated with the armed person before shooting. Anyway I have looked at there local newspaper website and it said that the police phoned people in the area before the shooting took place and new there man, so it looks like my comment is now invalid. http://www.kentnews.co.uk/kent-news/Police...inkent8301.aspx dustyfox I don't wish to sound facetious, but the last sentence in the above report seems to say that the police had been looking, for at least twenty years, for a woman to shoot at! Now that I could believe Christ, I know women are scarce in Kent but surely it wouldn't take anyone 20years to find one to shoot Took 'em 20 years to work out what women look like I expect

    Lidl NVG

For all those who missed it last time, Lidl are once again doing a handheld NVG monocular for the rediculous price of £109.99 available in selected stores from 17th Dec, I've got one and can thoroughly recommend them. Be quick you won't get one at this price anywhere else.
