  1. Hi all, Selling 2 x briley spectrum ported choke tubes in ic*1/4 and im*3/4. Selling for £30 each. Very good condition and had little use each. Selling as now have a Browning.
  2. Sadley no I don't. Is a long long way to your neck of the woods. I do have a friend that visits family in Liverpool. I'll ask him if he's going that way but would hold your hopes out. Sorry.
  3. Hi all, Just sold my 20 bore shotgun and have a few spare cartridges for sale. I have got:- 200 boxed Express 28g 6shot plasti wad, 75 boxed and 59 loose Eley high flyer 28g 6shot plasti wad & 125 boxed and 52 loose Rc Sipe fibre 28g 6shot. Would like to sell all at once for £115 but will break down if needs be. Live in Wisbech so message if interested. Thanks.
  4. I have got a Berretta Urika 2 and have run fiocchi top one's in 28g 7's to saga 32 g 6 's and not missed a beat. I find pigeons that are flighting/rosting I use fiocchi sporting pigeon european 6 (UK 5 1/5) but decoying eley pigeon 6 1/2 uk. All shot size and load depends on quarry and hunting situation. Get to use plastic or fibre wad. Plastic do pattern better but use fibre when needed. Pattern your gun is the best way to find out as all guns, cartridge, choke and range have different results. All the best.
  5. Just had my first season wildfowling and even though I didn't shoot much what a season. Shot 4 Mallards, a Wigeon, a Teal and 1 beast of a Greylag! Was standing in a ditch waiting for the moring flight to come over and they didn't come out at the same time as previous weeks, thought we were lucked out but one belt on the goose call I could hear some return calls comming from the distance. I stood fast and herd the calls get louder and louder untill the appeared in the distance. About 20 flew over head but well out of range but about 4 or 5 flew right to left about 45 yards out so raised my gun and boom, nailed one! Was so happy I ran over to pick it up after a few more flew well over head shouting I finally got one. Find it very hard to explain to friends and family who shoot the appeal of standing knee deep in cold water at stupid o'clock in the morning waiting for possibly just one shot, but once I got that goose it all made sense. Can't wait till next season now!
  6. Got a Fabarm 20bore s/s single trigger ejector and is honestly brilliant to shoot. Took it to the clay range at Lakenheath and had no issues roasting loads of cartridges on the day. Took it pigeon shooting and is very easy to move round the hide as has 28" barrels and typical with a s/s needs less drop on the barrels to reload. Just been invited on a Pheasant shoot and can't wait to try it out!! the sight picture is a little weird to get used to at first but if gun fit is right and a bit of practice it'll all work fine. also does look smart when people look at you like a drip cause you got s/s, expecting you to wipe out but when you do better than them it does give you a small smug factor.
  7. I bought mine as my first gun and use it for everything. Mainly use it for pigeon and clay shooting so fire of a few shells at a time but it's got the kick off system so it's really easy on the shoulder. Really easy to clean and maintain as well. Such a good all round gun. Hope you have as much fun with yours as I have had with mine.
  8. Can anyone please explain the difference between Hornady blue tips and the red tips is?? Just started shooting my dad's .17hmr with him and we got some different makes of ammo to test them out and can across some blue tips in a shop, bought and tried them and they work well in the gun but keep seeing adverts for red tips and just wondered what the difference was. Also dose anyone know where Winchester .17 ammo is sold in Cambridge/ Norfolk area?? Also again what ammo are you guys using and finding good? Cheers.
  9. Just bought a 3/8 comp-n-choke tube. Will smoke most targets at all but the 55 yard ranges. Took it to Risley the other weekend and hit everything presented to me at least once and they were not just chips but very good breaks and dusts.
  10. Bought a comp-n-choke skeet choke and smash them pigeons with it. If you bring them in close enough about 15 yards it's brilliant. 28gram 7's in there and anything within 35 yards is toast.
  11. I have voted for Eley because they are all I really use now. My main supplier has a wide range of Eley products for reasonable prices. I first used their pigeon loads and found them to be really effective so thought I'd give their superb clay load a go and again was impressed with the performance. Now the pheasant season has opened I have bought some Hi-Flyers and have knocked down some good cock birds at good ranges. Also I use them on crows and with 3/4 choke it really puts them in their place.... flat on the deck. I do still use some other brands for magnums but that's only because my supplier doesn't stock Eley magnums. Also their shot sizes are English so if it says 6 or 7 1/2 on the box it means that unlike our European counterparts.
  12. Just to see which manufacture is the favorite amongst everybody from vermin, game or wildfowl shooters through to clay shooters.
  13. F*&king hell that is a hefty price tag. I should think it will be the same pad but at that rice he can wait till his birthday Cheers for the reply.
