  1. if you have decoyed pigeons before and you have pulled them into your pattern you dont have a prob , i personally think its a bit of a money spinner this one, im out !
  2. To be fair if you miss with """""full"""""" your gun must be facing the wrong way !

  6. Sorry guys upon reading my post back it didnt make it clear what i was geting at,i ment the birds where i shoot dont seem to go mad for it after its like 4 inch high simpy cause its drilled so close together in the field ..... no patches at all , now obviously round the edge of the field but defo not in the thick of it , hope this is clear , sorry for my misleading post first time round And yickdaz remember it has to start raining somewhere , 15 mile is a bloody long way !
  7. 5" tall already that must of been drilled very early then , Unless i have missed something here and your rape is 5" tall the birds may have been and gone , cause my rule of thumb is they will cane it when its about two to 4 " inch tall and when they cant get in on it due to height they will leave it till its cut ,im sat here scratching my head !
  8. Bloody hell i wish there was still stubble round here , this is the time of year where there is a serious lull until they start on the rape !
  9. The rape will bloody fly up this winter, mega warm for this time of year with hardly any rain for a change , Drilled in on 22nd sept , Shooting it at the latest 15th november and thats leaving it late , DID SOMEONE MENTION GLOBAL WARMING WAS A BAD THING " Matts sitting / shaking in corner gun in hand surrounded by a mountain of special pigeon waiting for november "

  12. Hi all just wanted to share with you a bit of tinkering that has been going on in my shed , never really tried or belived in these before and what a diffrence they do make , my magnet is destined for the bin ! Used. 1 wire coat hanger 1 fibreglass cheap tent pole 4 , 10mm bolts 1 piece of aluminuim All your feedback welcome, thanks matt
  13. Depends on your shot accuracy mate , only you can answer that question really , if your confident that you can crack them with the full load of shot leave it as it is , i recently changed to quarter and half over the rape stubble, so as there decoying there pretty still and taking all the shot , but if you have variation in your shot and your not always going to have birds in the decoys and your going to attempt a few long range passing birds then a quarter is not going to reach them unless your called MR GEORGE DIGWEED !
  14. Looks like some good work gone into that matey , very sturdy bit of kit , the base of that thing is immense , thats not going to wobble in soggy rape fields !
  15. That is a beauty of a dog and brill pics to well done !
  16. Young pigeons are so daft if you opened the oven door they would fly in , none the less nice afternoons work mate !
  17. Well in mate im on the drill sat ,and we have just had our first rain since it was put in , so the birds are going to be hammering it hard now the chemic will have washed off the bright red seed, hopefully my photo will be as packed as yours !
