  1. + 1 on the Mercure. It's a nice place I would also recommend the Leopold Square hotel too.
  2. Whistle received today's post. . Many thanks.
  3. +1. No problems cycling 24g loads in my 3" version (so long as its clean). Dont see a need for the 3.5" unless your fowling. But even then, a 3" will do just fine
  4. I'll take the whistle thanks. Pm inbound.
  5. No issues with the back ones at all. Good symmetrical wear. The fronts on the other hand do wear on the insides a bit more. and as mentioned above that I think that too is related to the control arm bushings. The BMW ones are rubbish. On the roads round here they are destroyed in no time. Swapped them out for powerflex ones (ironically cheaper too) and get better wear. Never had issue with rear arms though I do know they suffer.
  6. Just checked for you for reference and on mine (M sport) its 225/40/18 on the front and 255/35/18 on the rear.
  7. I've got the same motor running 18" MV2s on the back. 245/30/18 if I recall correctly. I've run Falken FK452s for the past few years. Not exactly premium tyres, But they last near 20k. I would not say I drive it like I stole it, but I'm no Sunday driver either, so they suit the purpose well. Don't get me wrong, their no eagle f1s or sport contacts, but their good enough and about two thirds the price. Check out cam skill. I think the last lot were about 140 a corner.

    MAN V FOOD

Watched one yesterday with the challenge being: 72oz steak Coleslaw Baked potato Bread roll and fries Damn it looked good.
  9. The last I read on this was that if they are not fitted with self levelling and washers then they are an MOT failure. There is an exception that says low high performance cars not designed to carry much weight don't need the self levelling but the guidance notes i read were a bit sketchy on how this is applied. In any case the car should be fitted with washers, but if not and it's exempt under the above then no washers is an advisory on the MOT. If not exempt under the above, no washers is a failure. So, it's pretty grey really. I would suggest not fitting them to be on the safe side. Happy to be corrected mind.
  10. Well done guys- good looking day there!
  11. My feo suggested that me and my dad swap spare keys so that we had access to each others cabinet incase anything happened to either of use. We both have SGC but neither of our guns are on each others certs. If he suggested it then it has to be OK so far as I see.
  12. Ive found Netflix to be not so bad. My connection is running at approx 8 Mbits, or 1MB, depending on how you like to read it and it streams hd content no problem. Shows come up on 20-30 seconds and so far had no buffering during. The content is pretty limited but seems to be growing all the time. So far so good but that might change once I work my way through the catalogue.
  13. Yeah, I'll be there Saturday too with the old man in tow.
  14. I joined having got in to clay shooting and whilst looking for some info came across the site. I was reading it for 6 months or so before joining but its been a great source of info for me. I've learnt a lot just reading, but have pitched in where I though I might be able to add something. I by no means know as much as some - hence why I tend to keep quiet in the wings, despite being on here nearly every day (office job too). I've also met some great friend through here and had opportunities I might otherwise not have had the pleasure of (oo err). For sure its had an impact on my shooting career, and that for me is what the site should be all about; like minded folk sharing knowledge/ripping on each other in the interest of competition. Oh, and the banters not bad either...
  15. I'd be very interested too, subject to cost
  16. Stunning pictures. The One in the foreground of the bottom picture looks to be scowling at you though...
  17. Damn it! Had nothing to do all day, bored out my skin and this would have been perfect but I've had too many beers to drive/shoot Top offer Russ, hope you get sorted and have a good night!
  18. From my days working in a branch; the bigger style machines carry 150-175k (depending on note mix obviously) on average. However the one they stole is one of those small machines you tend to see in small shops and petrol stations. Not sure what they actually hold but40- 50k sounds about what I'd expect. Not that I'm suggesting how they should do their 'job', but to go to all that effort of digging a tunnel you would think they would check out the place to see when the machine is filled and nab it just after.
  19. Good story. Really enjoyed reading that. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Nice little bag there Les, and a good cartridge ratio to boot. Good shooting.
  21. This might be a long shot, so bear with me, but is there any moisture in the boot too? I had an similar issue in that I noticed damp in the back of the car and thought door seals, but it actually turned out to be one of the rear light clusters. One of them was not sealing to the body well and any water that ran down the back of the car went through the gap, in to the boot and then in to the car. I never saw the damp in the boot cos it was full of **** and you could not see the floor. I might be a way out here, but its worth checking. Failing that, if there is water in the footwell (I know you said 'rear footwells' above, but to be on the safe side...) check your engine coolant levels. Its possible there may be a leak to/from or on the heater matrix and a lower coolant level is a good indicator. Again, only an idea, but worth a quick check
  22. The same with More Than. I asked at renewal and they said so long as not one of them was over 1.5k (the then limit) in value they were already covered inside or outside. However, they did want to up my covered limit to 2k just in case I had more than one with me at any one time (?!?) and any other covered goods that may total over the 1.5k limit. If I recall correctly it was only £15 more on the annual premium to up the limit to 2k. So no massive deal.

    camping

Another vote for the Coleman dual fuel stove from me. Had one since I was about 13 years old. Used it camping, fishing and where ever else I've needed it. All its ever needed is a new pump cup and a generator. So, 20 odd quid in spares in 14 years, and its still going strong - I have had/tried other stoves but none compare for me- Nuff said! Also have one of the lanterns too, though not the latest North Star. 150Watt equivalent and also runs on the same readily available unleaded as the stove. Top bit of kit and burns for an age on a single tank. Obviously not the most practical if your backpacking, but camping from the boot of a car/truck you can't beat it.
  24. +1 - I wondered about this too with my GF. Gave 'em a bell and as she lives with me, adding her to my policy as a named driver brought my premium DOWN by a £150. I thought it would add a few quid but as she lives with me apparently it makes me much less of a risk (Oh and were both over 25)
