Well, there's plenty of self appointed specialists on here, so they probably have πŸ₯΄πŸ₯³πŸ˜†

RELIGION STINKS it always has been the cause of most of the deaths in this world......

Yup !!! The human race [however it was going to happen] was always going to be the destroyer of this beautiful planet ☹️

I made the decision not to add to the population way back in the late 80's πŸ™„

  3. These counterfeit stamps are apparently originating from China, where their government are doing fig all about it ! They are available online and in some smaller outlets, who are buying them online thinking they are getting a bargain, as these online sellers are advertising them at less than face value,,,, DOHHH !!!

Work is ongoing to attempt to stop these forgers, and to stop those already available getting sold to the British public. According to the news this morning.

Hello, i do like these sort of Posts, in my time of working in the Building Trade about 20 years on old Property i found a few things hidden away , The last one was a late 16 th Century house where i had to take up some floor boards around the old fire place, the boards were replaced about 100 years before, i found a few chemist bottles, old copper coins and a complete clay pipe , now all kept by the owner, another old house was a mystery , just a few coins in a old leather purse, but the top room was a mystery, it was only locked from the outsideπŸ€”

I know I said it was a bit of a giggle, but also sometimes interesting items are found like this, hidden in the 'fabric' of the building.

I've found other things under floors, in attics etc, some just interesting, but a couple of quite decent value πŸ˜ƒ

Once found a small tin tucked away, full of cash,,,, sterling and US$. Totalling Β£2300+ 😁 Unfortunately, had to split it 3 ways πŸ™„

I’ve awarded myself a glass of red wine 🍷 for being an inch out. I think that JKD probably knows what wine it’ll be πŸ‘.

I don’t know what you mean I’ve been honest. ?

Definitely not accusing you of being dishonest, was just apologising for highlighting something that has been pointed out before, the first time you advertised this gun. To me, and to others obviously, that looks like a crack. You say it isn't, so it isn't. Best of luck with the sale πŸ‘πŸ˜‡

  8. Ok,,,, I thought I'd put this up as a bit of a giggle,,,, a bit of a nonsense post amongst all the 'seriousness' in this section πŸ˜” πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

I was working on a renovation to a mid Victorian terrace house, and had to completely take out a chimney breast, from the ground floor kitchen area, right on through. On lifting the screed hearth, which came up in one piece, stuck to the underside was this 'tiny shovel' and a mother of pearl handled thread/button hook. So a his and hers good luck charm type of thing, I was thinking.

    Very much like these,,,,,

The shovel is perfectly designed and looks to be made 'to scale' of an original from that era.

What's that saying ? "Small things please,,,,,,, etc" πŸ€“πŸ˜

Anyway, it's 120mm long and quite rusty πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚

Just to clear things up after the rather unpleasant message I recieved.

Sam had asked me to find this model.

Didn't realise it was the same Sam that had commented. (Had only ever spoken to him once through a friend)

As I was away I asked another friend to arrange to purchase so I wasn't involved. Ended up collecting from JKD today as I was travelling from Folkstone.

100% upfront with everybody. Asking price paid (although it turned out that my friend negotiated a deal on the scope the same seller had)

I have added Β£25 to the sale price which Sam is happy with as he knows I waited over an hour to collect the gun and its still cheaper than postage.

After the text I recieved I could forsee something being said on here so have decided to preempt that.

    Edd

Why would someone from Surrey ask someone from Wales to find him that model of air rifle ? Ohhhh, I see,,,,, you dropped it off on your way to "pick up your children" !!! Not exactly brains of Britain are you fella !?

I stand by my message I sent to you, adding FAT and NOT VERY HANDSOME !!! 🀬

Good luck to Samo,,,, hope you're happy with it, even paying Β£25 for waiting an hour ?! I'll have to try that one, one day πŸ₯΄πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£

It was common practise years ago to bury protective charms within the fabric of the building, people have found all manner of things in old building when doing work on them.

    Yup πŸ‘

This one managed to find its way up stairs, fantastic birds we have them at the front and the back of the house which I feed separately, they will look through the window or fly next to me if im out and forgotten their breakfast

I guess its because your sitting still, everyone should learn to sit still for a while

Not necessarily so,,,,, I've had them darting between my feet while digging up paving etc. Grabbing worms and leatherjackets for their chicks πŸ˜ƒ Definitely wasn't keeping still,,,, in fact, they were dodging the shovel/spade which I was using πŸ˜†

  14. I know some of you like quizzes etc, so.......

Can anyone guess the size/length of this shovel that I 'dug up' a few years ago ?

A small clue,,,,, it was deliberately buried somewhere inside a house πŸ€“

I netted mine and it looked a mess so I put fishing lines around the outside and that looked a lot betterΒ

Obviously, aesthetics comes into play with netting etc. The point is to disrupt the herons from landing and taking off. If they don't feel safe then they won't approach/hang around the pond for very long πŸ‘ So basically, anything that creates herons an unsafe area, the better for us and the fish 😁

  16. Β As kids, we used to stop for lunch [in the car] at Pevensey Castle, and robins used to pop in through the open doors and pick crumbs up from around our feet πŸ˜€ They really are known for their 'friendliness/tameness' πŸ‘
