  1. Great, I would be interested in a chat about joining etc. I will send you a DM. Kind Regards Phil
  2. Hi, I would be interested in one of your places. I have a spaniel I am training but he is not ready yet, and may not be by the start of the season, would that be a problem? Kind Regards Phil
  3. we had but we had one guy from here book 3 days and then not answer any emails , contacts or pay up. We have also had to change a few days due to commitments and this has created a space or two from existing guns who could not make the new days.
  4. A gun space is available in our Partridge / Pheasant syndicate that we are selling on a day basis. We have put down 1000 Pheasant and 250 Partridge this season. The ave bags so far this season have been 50+ birds per day. We have 4 / 6 drives per day. Dates avail 19/11 - 3/12 - 17/12 - 2nd/14th & 28th Jan 2012. £100 per day. If you're interested send me a PM. Phil.
  5. Hi we have 3 days left on our shoot one, walk one days if you are interested? Phil.
  6. Hi i posted a reply to this but don't know where it has gone to? We do get a few duck from the nearby river and Kielder water, and on every shoot we get Snipe and Woodcock, but only a few. Hope this helps. Just as an update we only have 3 days left open if anyone is interested. Regards Phil.
  7. Sorry for the delay i have been away a few days on a family holiday. The walking guns will not get to shoot as they will be beating. This is the first year we are trying this, so we may well amend during the season if we think a lot of birds are getting behind the line. Scimitar, we do occasionally get duck and almost every shoot get woodcock and snipem, but only one or two. Hops that helps. Phil.
  8. Thanks for helping with the explainations. As Swiss tony and scimitar pointed out, the plan is 14 guns in total, seven shoot and seven walk and beat up the birds (there is genrally some volunteer beaters also). Once the drive finishes the seven guns swap around for the next drive and so it goes on. Time allowing we will get 4 to 6 drives in total completed in the day with a break for lunch in the middle. Lunch is bring your packed sandwiches though there is a nice barn to sit in with a hot water boiler. We think that the total birds shot will be 35 - 50 and the guns will get first priority for a brace, and then beaters. We are an informal shoot, and focus on everyone having a friendly enjoyable day. Hope that helps. Phil.
  9. Hi The shoot is a few miles from Kielder Water. Regards Phil.
  10. The Shoot is in Northumberland close to Kielder, It has run for 4 years but there were only a few rough days last year as we had no keeper, previous years we put down 500 and 1000 pheasants as well as the 1000 this year and 200 partridge to try. There are 14 guns on a shoot one / walk one basis. We have a part time keeper, who lives local to the shoot, who dogs in and feeds up, bag 35 - 50 expect
