  1. Is that correct? The dog that’s attacking is clearly out of control, but a dog doesn’t need to be on a lead to be under control if it is correctly trained. I would be surprised if a lead is defined as the only method for under control. I have been very lucky with my dogs and only once has my terrier been attacked when he was a young dog by a springer / collie cross which he sent away needing its ear reattaching. He now (at almost 12) still hates black and white collies and even barks at them on the tv. I have been attacked by an out of control greyhound...what it didn’t realise was the same little terrier was in the hedge at the side of me and he proceeded to silently launch himself out of the hedge and pin the greyhound to the ground and express his displeasure at the dog being unfriendly to his master.
  2. There is building evidence that side effects could be as a result of a previous Covid infection - a stronger immune response the the vaccine. Not a bad thing in the case of mild side effects. with the recent reports that tinnitus can be a Covid symptom I am pretty convinced that I had Covid a few months back - I woke up and was dizzy which lasted 3 days and then a week of tinnitus. No classic Covid symptoms but I now suspect that’s why my 1st dose of vaccine resulted in such a strong immune response and 48 hours of side effects.
  3. Glad she’s ok, I had a rough Sunday night after jab but just shivers / sweats and aches. I hope she makes a swift recovery.
  4. Front page of today’s telegraph has the lead shot ban - both the protection of wildfowl and because “toxic” lead being found in game. The wildlife argument has some legs, toxicity of lead shot in game in my view doesn’t - I assume BASC have been pushing how we have eaten game shot with lead for hundreds of years and no one has ever been ill as a result? The tone of the telegraph article implies it isn’t safe to eat game shot with lead.

    JAB

How quickly after jab though? the AZ jab has been proven to be 79% effective at preventing symptomatic Covid and 100% effective at preventing serious illness and death - but that’s after both doses.
  6. He’s a Marxist who put more effort into avoiding use of the term “Chinese virus” and making sure no one criticised China than he did stopping the spread, he praised China’s “control” of the outbreak when in fact they were lying and disappearing people and we could all see that and he was China’s pick for the WHO...maybe it’s his political beliefs that align him so closely with China, but I will be amazed if his beliefs haven’t been reinforced with $millions of Chinese “contributions”.
  7. Maybe he could pay for vaccine research with the massive bribes he’s had from China to make sure the WHO don’t identify the true source of Covid....
  8. Pigeons fly into the windows at the back of my house all the time. Sometimes there’s a big crash and then a pigeon shaped mark on the window, other times the dog is outside and retrieves the culprit.
  9. Can’t be excited as can’t travel to any of the places I can fish 😡 tight lines to those who can.

    JAB

I had the AZ one yesterday as the take up was lower and jabs needed using over the weekend. Very efficient and impressive, in and out in less that 10min. I thought I had got away with no side effects until yesterday evening then I got uncontrollable shivers and chattering teeth, headache, muscle aches and dizziness, alternating with sweating buckets. This went on most of the night and was not terribly pleasant but a lot better than having severe Covid. this morning I just feel a bit hungover, headache and sore arm. Apparently chills more likely it had a previous infection so maybe I had an a symptomatic case and didn’t know.
  11. Like the wrong number of fingers and apparent single figure IQ?
  12. They will be machined on a CNC machine but it is my understanding that they are first forged - the grain flow of the alloy will be modelled in the forging die and the resultant metal much much stronger and then the final form machined on CNC
  13. And there lies the difference... An action machined from billet / bar is not going to be as strong as one that’s forged and the detail machined in. The cheaper Turkish guns with CNC actions are therefore inherently not as strong as a forged action, but the offset being that they can be produced much more cheaply.
  14. Glad she’s ok. Years ago my Mrs shouted at me as I had apparently eaten the very rich chocolate cake things she had made, with 100% coco and dark chocolate. I had no idea what she was talking about...silly woman had left a plate of them on the table and my terrier had helped himself. Vets immediately to induce vomiting. He loves the smell of chocolate, he occasionally gets a tiny bit of milk chocolate or white chocolate but nothing with much coco in it. My cocker is a thieving so and so...he’ll have a cheese sandwich off your plate if you even so much as glance at something. When he was a pup he snagged the massively overpriced sausage from my hotdog at chatsworth show once as I sat down on a bench to eat it. £8 down the dog! lol 😂
  15. I have some Hawke Frontier ED, they were at the upper end of Hawke range but they are brilliant - at the time all the reviews compared them to Swarovs

Exactly - we have some of the world’s top scientists and we are more transparent than most counties - the fact that variant was discovered here and communicated to the rest of the world is as a result of the above. Had it been a commy evil regime like China it would have been hidden, possibly with the scientists made to disappear just like they tried when they caused this mess.
  17. I’ve said it many times...the biggest thing that’ll protect hares is prosecute the do as you likies and seize and destroy their vehicles. This will then massively reduce the number of landowners shooting hares - too many hares attracts the cancerous scum and brings other crimes so they end up being shot just to stop them attracting the great unwashed to the land. Chwis Packham ought to be going after them rather than legitimate legal shoots.

And it’s unwatchable due to awful dubbing.

How hard can it be? The Germans have already lost twice. The French will surrender immediately before British troops have even done their boots up. The Italians will grumble then switch sides to join us and the smaller EU members only have a few pointy sticks and rocks to Chuck.
  20. ? Maybe a newer one than the one I regret selling, which was exactly the same as my HW77k - pull underlever back, keep hold of it and put pellet in breech - what is usual about that may I ask?
  21. Tell BASC and you can claim your original membership that’s unused back

The Italians and the french have now admitted that there was political motivation in stopping the use of AZ British jabs as they are unhappy about Brexit. So someone somewhere in the EU leadership made a politically motivated decision on healthcare which will have resulted in deaths...I hope they are found and punished.
  23. Yes, but it doesn’t seem right paying £3 for a fly when I can spend hours wasting materials until I come up with something nowhere near as well tied having spent £40 on materials to tie it...
  24. Yep fly tying, it’s a slippery slope, filling boxes and boxes with flies, become a perfectionist and never being happy with them and then fishing the same patterns and only using 10% of the flies you tie lol!
  25. Nice roe. I have seen evidence of roe but fallow definitely the dominant species on my land, a roe would be nice for the ease of extraction like mentioned.
