arrived today, thanks very much mate, great wrapping, love it :good:

well done, you will probably get some stick as you say but if your confident in the shot ,go for it.I can manage head shots on bunnies to 100yds confidently, the furthest ive managed was 136yds,and if i hadnt have been confident of that shot i would not have taken it ,the .22 i think is very underestimated in what it is capable of, if you get to know the gun and scope with practice long shots are quite possible with the right conditions. I used to use the hmr for 80yd + shots but after watching a vid and talking to cooter on here i started useing and practicing with the .22 more and must say now it is my go for gun rather than the hmr, there will be conflickting views on this but everybody to there own atb dave

Lidl night vision scope from Thurs 29th Nov @ £99
telf replied to BerettaSV10's topic in Guns & Equipment
are these not the night vision monoculars rather than a scope,if so i have one and am quite pleased with it for the price, good for spotting but unfortunately you cant fix it to the rifle, at least not that i know.Of course i may be wrong in which case i think they will go before the have had time to warm the shelves -
Looking to have a go at pigeon shooting
telf replied to Major Misfit's topic in Pigeon Shooting Tips
i am looking to having a go at the pigeons myself shortly,if i get my shotgun cert through, interview 31/12/12, anyway i diverse,i take my rabbits to the game dealer and theres a bloke comes in there with boxes of pigeons so if your lucky enough to get a few take them to the game dealer, i think there about 30p-50p a bird atb dave -

i clean .22 and hmr after every outing and have done so since i got them, have never suffered loss of accuracy or any other problems.I used to put patches through until they came out clean but on the advice and help of deckers on here now use bronze brushes and patches on the hmr until clean, once you ve put the brush through and you see the amount of **** that comes out you will probably do it all the time, although i just use patches on the .22 as its not really a very dirty round. The mod on the .17 is also cleaned after every outing, but the mod on the .22 about every 50 rounds. As has been said everybody has there own idea on the subject

would like to know the same as i was thinking about getting either the super black eagle 2 or the beretta a400 extreme but as its only for pigeons, crows etc,i think the m2 would be ok as its got a 3" chamber against the other two 3.5" which i presume is more for waterfowlers, bigger carts which i wouldnt be useing atb dave
-
if your useing a mil dot reticle then download the hawke ballistic software, type in the details and the results wont be far out ,probably within a couple of yards, set up a target and practice and practice and practice you will find the results quite rewarding, the .22 is a very underestimated round, but as kent said learning the drop is one thing, windage and other issues are another thing all together but that applys to all ammo i guess

used the BRC one for my .22, i have a mtc genesis on it with a AMD ret and after testing the resultsin the field would say some aim pionts are spot on,others within a couple of yards either way of the results,so all in all not bad really just a tweak here and there atb dave
-
totally agree, have the same annie 1417, 14"barrel cracking tool for bunnies
-
+1 for the genesis,i have one on my .22 and its excellent, the AMD ret is in my opinion the best out there
