  1. the safety should be in the ready to fire ,unsafe position or on the red mark, its a case of trying to line up the bolt with the bolt receiver grooves, once youve got the hang of it its a peice of ****.Turn the front part of the bolt to suit without it becoming unlocked from the rear part of the bolt
  2. manum 3 as deckers said not world class just lots and lots of practice as a member on here(cooter, told me,thanks mate) get to know your gun and your scope and practice, also as has been said there is a place and distance for both calibres atb dave

  4. i pay £23 for 100 .17 v-max my gun doesnt like 20 grain at all and £8 a 100 for winnie subs
  5. hi jimmer i have both calibres and the first gun i reach for is the .22,i can manage head shots up to 100yds with winnie subs and absolutely love the gun which is an annie 1417,the question you have to ask is how far away do you want to be to shoot rabbits i prefer to try and stalk into them to about 60/70 yds if poss, but if there a bit nervous then ill take them at longer ranges. Also i have a DM80 mod which i think is one of the best out there atb dave
  6. bryn somewhere in the post is a thread on changing the pressure switch to an inline one which i did and found it much better atb dave

  19. dont know if this is any good for you boys, have a look in the craft&diy section - modified led torches i have two of these with red and green bulbs and am really pleased with them, and there is an ir led available (page 13).Have a look might be worth a punt atb dave

  21. agree with gary about the green ones going further and not seem to bother the bunnies to much, tonight was my first night out with both torches due to unforseen circumstances and am impressed with them both.I have the a.horton ones and would say they are good for rimfire ranges no problem, but carry a spare battery as they do tend to dim pretty quickly unless it was just me playing with them to much. One other thing i would like to thank dave-g and ash for the whole idea and all the help and info, also keep us posted on the nightvision your working on dave atb and thanks dave
