There are a few rabbits returning on my perms, buy not in great numbers . RVHD TYPE 2 decimated huge numbers .

I have also found that as tech gear has got better , and more affordable , taking greater numbers became easier.

If you take all the breeding Does  of a perm , the next generation will not appear.

Must admit ive thought that for a long time now , from the red torch to the very first NV screen type rigs , then better NV , then thermal , all became very affordable for the average shooter . With all of those advancements and rvhd , then we wonder where all the rabbits have gone , - does make you wonder

  2.  yes , i only used it for walking the dog and never came home wet , it has the “ seetex r2 layer membrane “ which keeps water out and you dry according to the seeland website

  3. As title , detatchable hood , size 54 which i think is about 48” chest , not sure of model but in ex condition apart from one repair on one pocket which i have tried to show in pics , ideal coat for the on coming winter , only used for walking the dog so  spent more time in the wardrobe , coat will be washed prior to post

  4. I agree with your comment on over shooting , then as you say other pressures sees them off , l have shot  (occassionally now ) on a large estate  for 15 years + , the place was over run , i used to go a couple of times a week , there were other shooters on that lived a lot closer than me and went up more often , there have been very few rabbits there now for the past five years

i have left them alone for years now hoping they might recover but other shooters hammer the few that were left to the point that last time i was there , i saw only two

The S is better, better made , less plasticky and waterproof, shorter ,for better eye relief.

    Yes. Lower mag the better.

Limited to very few rifles , often with larger boltknobs , there are workarounds.

The camera/ sensor is different, much more sensitive, IR seems very strong on mine (Chinese import)

A thing to note is the V , which is basically the same as the older A , with a few tweaks, is available in 12 and 16 mm versions (12mm being better for higher base mag scopes)
The S is only available in 16mm, but theres a reason for this , the peculiar refractory design of the S seems to lower the base mag of the 16mm lens to somewhere in between the 1.2 x of the 12mm and the 1.6 x of the 16mm.
Ive compared all 3 , and this is my conclusion, the S model will work very well with 5 and 6x mag scopes, and possibly higher.
If you have the extra £200 , go for the S .

Fair play to you sir , i knew somebody would come along that had greater knowledge than mine 👍

  6. My two penneth , the S is a different design all together  , slightly shorter , battery is upright but can catch on the bolt of some rifles from what im lead to believe , i think the camera etc is the same but some reports say the image and IR is better , the V version came out just after the S becuase of the bolt catching issue i think ,  dare say someone with more knowledge will be along shortly

And that is the answer. Except that CB’s will not feed from my BRNO magazine and have to be loaded singly, which is a bit of a faff.

Forgot to add they wouldnt feed through my annie either so i bought a single shot mag , problem solved 👍
