    Seen 2 today on the solway coast, looking back into my records for this area from the 7th to 11th is roughly about the time to see the first.

    I have cut the spikes down to half there length and take a equal amount of bamboo cut stakes then set these out and pop the sillysock in the hole of the cane,,, the wire spikes fit nicely inside a piece of alcatheyne water pipe a dozen decoys at a time,,, makes it easier carrying thought set up time is marginally longer I don’t mind as it’s made up for in less effort packing them away
